Anyone else reading this thread would just put it down to wishful thinking from a parochial and biased supporter base.

Between you and me, this year the pressure is off. The football world would understand if we won as many as we lost. But I'll tell you now, this year is a window and there's nothing like a long-shot who gets wind of an opportunity going begging.

Hawks finish in the bottom 6. Nice early pick there.

Then we leverage Sloane from Adelaide with the ammunition of 2 x 1st RDPs, using both picks if necessary (with something reasonable coming back). Sloane tells Adelaide he wants to come back to Victoria at the end of 2018 & the Crows pull the trigger.

Our 2018 midfield includes a fit and keen Fyfe & Sloane. BANG!!!
