We have a significant shortfall in funds for the player sponsorship organised by Look2Me4Guidance.
He has organised the player sponsorship for us for a number of years and shared the benefits to give more individuals access to club events (that they might otherwise not be able to attend).
Saints supporters on this board have always been generous - raising the necessary funds to cover the sponsorship each year - but now we find that many of us are less willing to part with our money now that the club is not performing well.
The club needs our money more than ever. It's easy to lose interest when success wanes, but it's a great opportunity to prove to yourself that you are willing to stick by the club in the tough times, like many of us already have.
Look2Me4Guidance alerted me that we still have 55 unsold shares for our sponsorship. This is $1,375 worth of shares. To those who have already contributed, the club and I thank you so much.
Now I know there's a few regular posters on the board who have not purchased shares. Some may not have considered it for various reasons, or maybe couldn't afford it at the time.
WE ARE ASKING YOU TO CONSIDER IT NOW. PLEASE.
Not only are you financially supporting the club we all love, but you are also supporting a young player who really does appreciate it.
So come on gang, please try and find something extra, or contact a friend or family member who doesn't post here, mention the sponsorship to them. I've backed us in to get this money, so let's give it a try.
Alternatively, what do people think about an auction - bidding for the remaining items which form part of the Sponsorship?
The first item would be 2 tickets to the “Day Out At the VFL” on Sunday 21st July. Enjoy a 2 course meal along with pre-match beverages whilst enjoying the company of the Saints senior players.
The premium item up for auction would be tickets for the gala affair St Kilda FC Best and Fairest awards night
This forum has stimulated some great debate and considered comment from a wide number of people. Throw some thoughts out there, and lets keep the debt collectors (would might just be S. Baker) from Guide’s door.
