After a wooden spoon in 2014 St Kilda coach J.Smith has come out and said the club is going through a massive rebuild and will be aggressive with it's list in the upcoming trade week.

Trade Week

Trade 1: Spencer White, Pick 1 for Tom Hawkins, Pick 12
It's a shallow draft with the top prospect being a ruckman, one of the only spots on the list that we don't need. With Riewoldt aging Hawkins will be our forward target for years to come. White for pick 12 is a good deal as well. Massive trade.

Trade 2: Leigh Montagna for Pick 27
Leigh is getting older and we feel that pick 27 is good value for him. We expect Blake Acres to fill Leigh's shoes next season.

Trade 3: Josh Saunders for Pick 24
Josh has been in and out of the side and to be offered 24 is too good to turn down.

Trade 4: Farren Ray and Sam Gilbert for 51
Both players are on the decline and are on the wrong side of our age needs.

Trade 5: Tom Lee, Pick 24, Pick 36 for 22
Might look silly but we have that many draft picks we thought we might do some downgrading. Tom was going to be delisted anyway.

Trade 6: Arryn Siposs and 12 for Pick 9
Arryn has been very inconsistent so we felt he needed a change of scenery. Happy to have a pick inside the top 10.

Trade 7: Dylan Roberton for Pick 30
We have a few medium sized defenders so we felt as though we could let Dylan go. Pick 30 is another good pick.

Trade 8: Pick 51, Pick 53 for Pick 48
Needed a downgrade

Trade 9: Rhys Stanley, Terry Milera and Pick 48 for Pick 16
With Hawkins inclusion we dont need Rhys anymore. Very happy to have 16.

Overall:
Very happy with this trade period. We've managed to recruit a gun forward in Tom Hawkins whilst trading a lot of depth players for good picks. All we have to do now is nail the draft.

Pick 19: Damien Lenton (Inside Mid)
Pick 22: Dennis Argent (Small Defender)
Pick 27: Damien Frowen (Tall Defender)
Pick 30: Charles Cater (Ruckman)
Pick 68: Andrew Beauchamp (Tall Forward)

Comments:
We were thrilled to pick up Marco Lawson at pick 9; he is a ball magnet who had a very impressive carnival. Bryson Beasley is a hard at it tagger with great leadership qualities, he will play round 1. Dennis Argent is a rebounding half back who can play on the wing. The two Damiens; Frowen and Lenton are both very highly rated and are chances for early season selection. We then have two project players in big men Beauchamp and Cater.

Comments:
Picked up a promising kid in Trent Dumont, we are hoping he will put his troubles behind him. We got some KPP depth in the rookie draft with Wood, Michael and Smith. We also needed a small forward so we recruited livewire Colby Sutherin.
