I think we'll be quite active in trade week, no matter where we finish. A couple of young outside outside players, Key forwards and a ruckman are our obvious deficiencies, while a few blokes may find themselves offered up (Gilbert to GWS?).

I think the Bulldogs may receive a call about Minson, while North may do so as well for Speight. I also reckon we may be talking to GWS, for a few State league players in their MAPs.

So how is their recent record at the MCG?

Might want to place some bets on them not winning games against ranked teams there if you want to win some $$.
Ranked teams? The Saints have been ok at the MCG the last few seasons. Go with me on this but don't Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth have outdoor grounds? Pretty sure the Saints have done well at those grounds.

You can't trade Goddard. That's nuts.
But I am tipping someone in the club has upset him. That's the person you flick.
If they don't at least make it to a prelim final this year, they can - and I think should - trade Goddard if they get some decent early draft picks. But there's no point getting draft picks and wasting them, so they probably need to take a look (if they haven't already) at getting rid of whoever has overseen their trading/drafting decisions in recent years.

I know what you are saying but Goddard will still be worth every cent in 4 years. You cant trade him.

He is shite this year. Something has happened.

Don't upset those Carlton supporters who are trying to change the topic from the prospect of having Ross Lyon as their coach :)

Is Ross Lyon going to be sacked rather than poached? He was happy with what he has seen on the track recently and his idea of happiness hasn't translated to much on the field so far. They should still finish stronger unless their heads drop further and they allow the Crows to finish off the match before three quarter time.

Ross Lyon has done an excellent job of getting the most out of an average list and should stay on for the rebuild but i've been saying this for the last 4 years; they were never going to win a flag with a side of rejects and misfits. A big clear out 10 + players is required at years end.

Ignoring the fact that they came incredibly close to two grand final victories?

i think the club and alot of saints supporters want ross to be the coach for atleast the next 5 years to give him a chance to rebuild, so i dont think its a case of ross facing the sack. however i think ross is getting sick and tired of all the shit thats happening behind closed doors. theres been a couple of people close to ross who have come out and briefly touched on this. so if ross is going to go, it will be because he has a better offer/future else where.

They came within a point of winning last year and also almost won in 2009; yet you say they were never going to win one? They could easily have had 2 flags by now if not for a couple of posters being called goals and if not for an unlucky bounce.
