If he left, Dal Santo wouldn't be going to a rebuilding side like the Bulldogs. He'd play for a side vying for a premiership.

Isn't Dal Santo a free agent?
You'll find the answer to that question in my 2nd post in this thread.
Don't blame him. If I was a senior player at the Saints right now, I wouldn't be too interested either.
That probably says a lot about your character, or lack thereof and possibly about Dal's.

Our current position isn't stopping the likes of Nick Riewoldt, Lenny Hayes, Clint Jones and Leigh Montagna from absolutely busting a gut and I dare say it's because they are not just out there thinking about themselves, or feeling sorry for themselves.

what about nick reiwoldt knowing he wont play in a premiership with the saints, big decision for him, if he wants to stay loyal or have another crack at it at another club.....

Should have pulled the trigger last year on a couple of them but you'd still get interest for Dal Santo and Montagna.
Agree.

12 months too late.

Dal Santo and Montagna might get some late 1st round interest from top 4 sides.

Otherwise, the saints would be best served looking at trades. I can't see them getting anything like Goddard type coin offers.

Jones, Ray and Gwilt wouldn't get much at all. You would be better off keeping them.

How is the younger Delaney going?

They like him.

They like him enough to have extended his contract until the end of 2015 based on 3-4 senior games.

Harper plays in a position we have great depth in already.
Nah, that's not the case mate. Not when Boomer retires.

Speight has also done his dash with injury and Campbell was cut for discipline reasons.

If anything we will be looking to add some small quick forwards at the next draft.

He was talking about us having good depth in that area with Saad, Milera, Dennis Lane and Darren Minchington (who is coming along very nicely in the VFL) on our list already.

By far the main areas we will be looking to add to are the midfield ("pure mids") and key defence. We've stocked up on our future forward line and now our ruck stocks in recent years, have more than enough "3rd tall defenders" and probably ample for the flanks and wings up either end.

we probably need to draft another KPF given that stanley looks to be the permanent back on the oppositions resting ruck

Saints will need to ship a few of these olders guys off and begin a long rebuild, their young kids aren't too flash
You didnt watch the game on friday?
People serious doubt our kids. Armo, Steven, McEvoy are all very, very good players and mix that in with the talent of Siposs, Saad, Newnes, Hickey, Roberton, Stanley, Lee, Simpkin, Saunders, Wright, Murdoch, Ross, and things arent looking as bad..

I honestly can't see them getting much for Clint Jones or Farren Ray, who are at this stage probably not in many team's best 18. Gwilt is at most a third tall or depth player to a middle of the road team.
Milne needs to be dumped at season's end to give time to Saad and co.
I think Nicky Dal is the only serviceable player you could actually get anything worthwhile for, because if anybody goes its him, Montagna and Gilbert are moreso required.

Yet they where in the game until a few minutes to go against your mob. Guess Collingwood did loose a starting mid in the warm up nad then a key defender before half time no wonder StKildas kids could keep in the match.......

Do you go for St Kilda or not?

Dal Santo is worth something, as is Montagna. The rest would be slim pickings. Melbourne could go after a guy like Farren Ray.
