Actually Andsmithmustscore does have a point AWG:)

Although how he expressed it sucked:thumbsd: Totally over the top.

Just a plain Irish flag or the county flag would be best:thumbsu:

Some people would get upset about changing the flag even in an innocent way.

Apparently swearing at people is how some posters express themselves. Other's dont.

I apologise if it offended anyone. I didn't mean for it to, I was only posting on someone's good idea from TC, and i still really think it is a great idea!

Oh and i'm hardly burning the flag or doing wrong things to it.

Some people need to lighten up a bit....

Totally agree mate:). You weren't being malicious and his reaction was over the top

The Irish embassy people don't think it is a good idea by the way:D
I just thought I better check before anyone actually goes out and decides to do it, no matter how remote the chance was:D

Are people still allowed to take in the Irish flag though?

I must admit I didn't ask...doh:D

I have a number of relatives in Donegal and both sides of my family are pretty much Irish descendants, so I did a straw poll and they seemed fine with it:D Not sure that that would stand up in a court of law if you start a riot though:)

I honestly couldn't see why not though as it will be St Pats day:)

The only problem would be if the dome gets antsy, as the powers that be have done at a few events with flags over a certain size.

Of course, swearing is a big part of how alot of Irish express themselves.

It's called passion.

And they might get offended because of 800 years of family history and conflict.

It's culture.
