Nice list! You must've been here for quite awhile. Of those on your list I've been to, Dodger Stadium easily tops that list....then Miler Park (very underrated...mainly because the Brewers are so obscure), and AT&T. I'd put Fenway up there but my bias forbids that. Honestly, it's pretty cool. I sat in the outfield and was expecting "knowledgeable baseball fans that are students of the game"....at least that's the BS you always hear about their astute fans. Oh, please. It was beach balls bouncing around left and right out there....something you'd NEVER see in the Bronx or at Wrigley Field.

I lived in the US for about 4 years (San Diego), so yes made my way to a few stadiums/ballparks. I really liked Miller Park too- my wife and I did a spur of the moment long weekend trip to Milwaukee when the Padres were playing there and really enjoyed it. Fenway was fun but i thought the fans weren't that great either, pouring out of the stadium during 6/7th innings during a close game, was pretty empty by the end of the game.

I went to quite a few games at Qualcomm while living in San Diego for a few years. Yes it is just a big concrete stadium, with sub-par big screens but it has a certain charm. It is just not up to standard with the latest stadiums with retractable roofs, enormous screens and fancy suites. The thing I enjoyed most was the tailgating before the game, for a 1pm game you'd arrive at 10am and the car park surrounding the stadium would be full of cars, trucks, campervans as far as you could see with people cooking meat and drinking beer. One of the sad things with the push for a new downtown stadium in San Diego is that it would lose this aspect of the gameday experience. But with all that said, yes it is getting very old so I can certainly see the need for a new stadium.

MARATHON/RUNNING COURSES:
- Gold Coast Marathon (3 time finisher) takes in part of the Gold Coast Indy/V8 Circuit (Back straight for cars, approx 4/18km into Marathon)
- Melbourne Marathon (4 time finisher) apart from finishing in the MCG takes in much of the F1 GP Circuit including the pit lane
- Perth's City to Surf (2 time Marathon Finisher) has a course running past Challenge Stadium, former home of the Perth Wildcats before and after they played at the old Entertainment Centre and prior to Perth Arena
- Canberra Marathon (2 time Marathon finisher, 1 DNF last year in the 50km Ultra but entered again for next week) doesn't run past any sporting venues but starts at Old Parliament House and runs around the New Parliament House in the first 2 kilometres
- Sydney's City2Surf (14km, 4 time finisher) finishes at Bondi Beach which hosted Beach Volleyball at the 2000 Olympics.
- Brisbane's Bridge2Brisbane (1 time 5km finisher, 1 time 10km finisher) formerly had their finish line at the RNA Showgrounds, a former test cricket and Rugby venue and one time home of ABL champions Brisbane Bandits. Since my only 10km finish the course has changed and it now finishes in Southbank using the Story Bridge as opposed to the Gateway Bridge closer to the Airport.
- Perth's Run For a Reason (1 time finisher when the run was 12km in 2011) ran past Belmont Racecourse and finished in Gloucester Park, Perth which was a venue for World Series Cricket and the current Harness Racing venue in Perth
- Sydney Marathon Festival's course (1 time Half Marathon Finisher in 2015, pending work commitments I'm planning to do the half again this year) runs over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and finishes like the Olympic Triathlon did in 2000 outside the Sydney Opera House
- The finish line for this year's Comrades Marathon in South Africa (87km) is Scottsville Racecourse in Pietermaritzburg where hopefully I'll make inside the 12 hour cutoff. The next year when the race goes in the opposite direction they generally use Kingsmead in Durban (the Cricket Ground)
