What else is there to do at this time of year, talk about how much Geelong is going to thrash us by?
 
Retired: Braun= 1
Delist: Cones, Graham, Armstrong= 3
Trade: Seaby= 1
Main list consists of 40 players - 5 = 35
Elevate: Davis, Wilkes
leaves 3 spots in the draft 2, 18 & 20

Is it possible to de list a player and then pick him up in the rookie draft. Would like to see Thomson/McGinnity de listed than picked up in the rookie draft so we can also use the pick we get for seaby. We picked seaby up at pick 12 so we would be hoping at least that for him, mabye seaby+18 and mabye 36 for a pick between 1-12.

Don't forget Wirra goes on the Vets list, so you have one more which you will take. You may have a couple more delisted... keep fletcher though...too much experience(helps the young brigade)...adds depth....

Perhaps ive been hard on some premiership players but Hunter, Waters and Embley have been disgraceful when they have played. Poor disposal and poor decision making skills have been a hallmark of their seasons.

But the main issue has not been our cattle, it's been that they have been injured.
 
haha waters...yeah i'd say having a rorted shoulder would have something to do with that.

he was very decent when playing this year. same as embers, we arent going to ****ing trade him.

hunter is so crucial to our team, we need him back badly for next year. added marking power and maturity is a must.

Re: Hunter, he was playing injured a lot of the time too. One thing people tend not to notice with premiership players when they aren't all that hot is it's not always 'being exposed for who they really are'. When the injury list is as long as it was for us, some of them play nowhere near 100% out of necessity/a sense of duty.
 
dont tell me stakes has done a runner. im pissed he didnt finish off the year because now im undecided whether or not i want him around next year....**** you staker...you start playing good footy for the first time in your extended career and you think you can leave.

annoys me that we persisted with him in the premiership years now if he leaves.

hope he signs up, i dont want to trade him until im sure he's not worth keeping.
 
Well, if he wants to leave it's not for his 'lack of opportunities'. He gets plenty of game time really and was finally starting to show what he could do until he got injured. I'd like to see him stay so I hope they get his signature soon!

Why don't we just get rid of half the list?

Embley's season has not been that bad, in fact it appears most WC players rate him as one of our best. Waters has been injured for most of it. Hunter has been out for a good portion and, although he didn't reach the heights we have come to expect of him, was still good before he got injured. All of those are most certainly not trade/delist material.

Still struggling to work out where our four outs will come from. If Kerr, Staker and McKinley all agree to terms then things aren't looking good for Army and Thompson.

If had a choice. And we drafted Naita then,

Gone;
Fletcher
Seaby + pick to tigers for an upgraded pick.
Graham (maybe packaged like seaby to dogs if they want him)
Armstrong (tough call to make)
 
Good news. I heard from a reliable source as soon as he was injured that he was looking at moving on next year. Hope he stays. However, Benny-Mac is priority one for me.

OUTS: Thomson, C.Jones, Graham, Armstrong.
ON TO VETERANS LIST: Fletcher, Wirrpanda
OFF VETERANS LIST: Braun

That leaves us with 6 spots on the senior list. Upgrade Davis and Wilkes and use 4 draft picks.
