ive heard heaps of people say he lost us the grand final in 2005. dont have the best memory of the game can som1 tell me what he did.

2 instances:

Exhibit A: Beating everyone to the ball which is rolling along towards the goal - overruns the ball - no goal.

Exhibit B: Takes a mark 40 metres out and inexpliacably plays on - gets tackled by Goodes - no goal.

Both occured late in the last.

It wasn't the only reason we lost. What did Michael Gardiner and Travis Gaspar do that day, nothing. Even then we can't blame them either it was a number of things and wasn't meant to be. To put it simply we should have had Lynchy and Phil Matera in but we didn't The Leo Barry mark shouldn't have been allowed he clearly pushed out Seabs the list goes on and on. Anyway it's history now let's move on shall we.

Lynchs form was absolutley shocking, Matera couldnt walk and that mark was sensational - nothing wrong with it

The point was we could go on and go about who to blame for the loss, but the FACT is no one person is to blame. :thumbsu:

Its like l could answer back, Matera could walk cause l seen him at the official players dinner after and he was running around drunk and l can tell you he was one VERY p off person, then someone will come back, well running around drunk is a little different then running around on a footy field, so true!!! :)

as for lynch, who knows, he was so inconsiderate that year he may have had a good game, do you know for sure he wouldn't he might have kicked that goal we needed, surely he could have managed one . ;)

At the end of the day does any of this matter? no cause we lost and we lost fighting to the end, we lost by FOUR points, now what would you rather losing by four points or 100+ like last year, l don't even know the exact margin cause it was so boring l changed the channel! :) l would have loved to win, but we didn't, so the next best thing, is to fight it out, and l think we did that! :)

Hope he can resign because he has so much talent and he can break games apart. He would attract attention during trade week though.
His biggest talent is his ability to run -hes not a natural footballer, think we could easily replace him in the midfeild roll with Spangher or Schofield, both can run and are more naturally gifted footballers. though my preferrence would be with Schofield.

I would keep him around long enough to be able to get a father son selection out of him. Isnt his missus in the olympics atm, thats some good genes right there. Honestly though his best seems to be attacking in the midfield, i would love to see him play midfield next year all year. If he is still in consistent than trade.

Read a small rumor that Sydney is interested in Staker, being as he is from broken hill and his girlfriend is from nsw he may be considering a move.

their second round pick would be around pick 30-34
can't think of a suitable trade (personel wise)

Broken Hill is closer to Adelaide than Sydney

And his gf just moved from Perth to get away from Sydney

exactly.
No-one in Perth really cares about Candice's personal life or even her professional career.. she's said that Sydney seemed like a fishbowl to her, and that she has no desire to live there again, at least not anytime soon.

As for Staker, he was one of the players who payed their own way to go to melbourne to help out some of the wce young guys, along with beau waters and ash hansen (i think?). Why would you volunteer your time and money if you weren't planning on being around in a couple of weeks?

I'd be suprised if Staker left - at least by choice. I wouldn't have thought Sydney would be his first choice anyway..

Matt Rosa was the other traveller. I remember Nico and Zac Beeck when he was with us doing the same thing when we played in Sydney one year. I hope Brent stays I think he's finally found he's right poition on the field and will be a real asset for us in the future.
