So clever ... maybeess time on the computer and mor watching thefooty and you may get acue.
One thing destructive ols like you don't seem to understand is that these players have families... Mothers Fathers Grandparents brothers nd sisters and a lot hae girlfiends.... a lot who follow their son, brother, grandson, boyfriend ...on big oty nd other forms of media.
To do pointless posts with this sort of destruction intended can be quite quite hurtfu to family members and others who are involoved the plyers life.
Maybe a bit of thought about how you would feel if someone said this about you before posting would be a good idea!!

How can it be an unbiased view when he was blamed for poor kicks, handballs and also the incident where houli lost out to ballyntine at 50 and he kicked a goal.

The reality is he has had over 20 possies the last 3 weeks at over 90% eff. Yeah half of them might be easy switch kicks but not all are, he provides good run out of defense and is good with his handball under the pump unlike mcguane. He is hard at it and is getting very good at spoiling without giving away a free. Yes he had an awful 1st half against the Roos and like all players makes mistakes but he is improving quickly, still only 21 and an important player going forward.

And don't worry Dimma and Co are very happy with him and consider him to be a great prospect down back

no one had a good first half against Norf , absolutely no one. Rance has improved this year alot. Yes I'd rather have Kel Moore in the side before him but Kel Moore is injured and un available. I really do think there has been some dramatic improvement in Rance.

Can someone cross reference his stats with Michael Jamisons. Rance already knows how to attack and it has taken Carlton 5 years to teach Jamison to attack.

Let's not forget this is seriously a development year and he should be getting at least 15 games this year. Still only a kid but we forget that because of his size. Wallace never gave him 1 run in 2008 even though he was emergency 6 times.

Hardwick will not make the same mistake .

Have been a critic of Rance in the past, kicking and decision making were his worst traits but he has improved them thus far this season.

I too believe he is being judged on past performances and some will sit idily in the stands waiting for him to make a mistake and then pat themselves on the back when he does:o

Lets give him a fair go at settling in down back this season and see if he really can play before we hang him out to dry:thumbsu:

I dont mind Alex Rance & am sure will eventually become a good player but can see in 18 months time.

Shuey ..................... Sorry west coast i want to go to richmond
West coast .............. We want Alex Rance

Deal Done.

Coming along slowly - first couple of years were not great, but improvement is obvious. On the right path - no, he probably wouldn't get a game at Collingwood right now.

The fact is he has improved in all aspects since last year. Where will he end up? Don't know, let's find out.

that would be akin to swapping

ottens for meyer/pattison...No thanks, the scars are only just beginning to heal from that cluster **** of all recruiting disasters:o

When I am breathing my last breath, and looking back over my life, I will wish that I had the 2 minutes back that I lost too reading that garbage from the OP. Then again, people with that sort of entrenched bigotry rarely change their colour and that post took no note of the facts.

Take the blinkers off, you can literally see his improvement each week at the moment. And this is from someone who thought Rance would be delisted by this year, he has surprised me.

He was misserable on Saturday night. Only 21 disposals, with an ordinary 90% eff, 9 marks, a poor 10 pressure acts and just 5 score involvements, and worst of all, conceded only 2 goals, 1 to Bradley and 1 to McPhee. He has to be dropped for the Doggies game. Holding us back big time. Bring in Thursty.

His improvement this year has been a major highlight for me. When will people realise we can't 38 Brownlow Medallists on our list? Rance and Grimes have already made Thursfield completely redundant, which is a good thing.

well said the both of you

For **** sake. For years l have watched us recruit pathetic squibs... Daffey, Campbell, Tivendale, McMahon, blah, blah ****ing blah.

They've all been pathetic at putting their head over the ball, but been praised for being flashy. Where the **** did they get us?? NOWHERE!

For once, we have finally ditched the shit and backed players willing to "go when they have to go" and Rance is first in line for courage and his willingness to COMPETE every ****ing time.

He may not have the best skills... christ, even Greg Williams had questionable foot skills. But he was hard as ****. I love Rancey and l'll take him getting bashed week in, week out trying to learn and do whats right for the club - like Tucky has.

Finally, we are starting to turn average players into better players, through our investment into development and coaching. I strongly believe that Rance will be part of that upskilling and through his team-oriented approach, will make others stand taller.

I loved it when he got suspended. It brings the **** back to PUNT. I want the swagger back and he has it. We are starting to build the arrogance. I dont rate McGuane much, but no one will mess with him. Thursty on the other hand is a rag doll.

Just looking at the leagues average Eff% (Ave because Rance hasnt played a full season) and it was a surprise.

20th Deledio
40th Grigg
50th Houil
51st Rance.

Not bad for someone who apparently terrible with his disposal.

[Edit] Apart from showing Rance good Eff% the best part is 2 mature ready mades bought into the club are our 2nd and 3rd most effective ball users :thumbsu:

i don't mind rance to be honest, takes a fair few decent grabs too

The OP is one of the best I have ever read. For a number 18 pick he is a trainwreck!

If you think Rance takes decent grabs , then he must have a brother!

I rarely see him take any overhead grabs-rarely
