We have now had a season of the stand rule. What's everyone else's opinion?
Personally I hate it but perhaps that is because I'm a Tigers fan and it seems to have been instigated to stop us.
I would like for us to go back to the previous rule/interpretation where players can move around and defend the mark but not cross the line.
I think it's a rule that has added nothing. All it has done is to promote the chip chip game. I hated the 50 metre penalty in the prelim against a Melbourne player who moved well after the cat had moved off his line but before the umpire had called play on.
