The in-goal area is the area bordered by the try-line, touch-lines and dead-ball line (from the goalposts back to the end of the pitch). In both codes it has variable length. But the distance between the uprights stays the same.League 'In-goal' areas vary I think? Imagine being able to adjust goal widths
Yep but their main scoring avenue can be altered, ie tries. The in-goal area is the area bordered by the try-line, touch-lines and dead-ball line (from the goalposts back to the end of the pitch). In both codes it has variable length. But the distance between the uprights stays the same.
Similar to how the pockets can be deeper or narrower in AFL, giving less or more room to run wide and then kick at goal. Not a major issue in either sport.Yep but their main scoring avenue can be altered, ie tries.

In goal areas, widths and lengths differ in Rugby. These make a significant difference in tactics used.Don't see any valid arguments against, aside from the obvious one of logistics. And rugby and soccer pitches are basically the same shape and don't vary nearly as much. Much less affect on gameplay. I mean, realistically it ain't gonna happen anytime soon or even ever, but it seems logical for ANY pro team sport to have regulation size playing areas.

Why? What’s wrong with home team advantage? Rugby has different law interpretation country by country. I love itThen rugby should change. Shouldn't be a factor.
