What a terrible, terrible footballer. Edit - Sorry this line was a bit rough was just frustrated after the game, no excuse for his performance though.

After all the support he received in the past few weeks he serves up a performance like that **** sake.

Watch the Stanton fan boys come now, I don't give a shit what you think.

Cleary we were at different games for in the second half when our mid-field were under it who was it that delivered the ball with long kicks into the forward line.

Stanton

I think several guys clearly were playing for the bye for they were clearly tried.

He was poor tonight by his own standards, but seriously OP get a ****ing clue.

Then again your username used to be Bachar Houli, so I suppose you com from the Terry Wallace school of talent identification.

*ahem*

Tbh, he was as shit as I expected him to be. His 1%ers for a bloke of his experience who should be in the PEAK of his career are just disgraceful. He squibs contests as well.

Then again, with the exception of Lonergan, Jetta (both outstanding), Fletch and Heppell, we were shit across the board.

But you know what really ****ing shits me???

SO MANY OF YOU stand up for him despite the fact he is worse under pressure than McPhee was yet McPhee copped the haters twice as much as Stanton does. Really, really, really ****ing pisses me off.

Forgot to add to my post about his near TOTAL lack of pressure when it comes to shepparding and tackling. This almost infuriates me more than the clangers.

One time he was not far off a Richmond player who was running away from him, and, instead of putting his head down and chasing like the clackers, he made a half-arsed attempt to chase and starting pointing at some other players to do the job for him. I can accept shitness if there is genuine effort. I can't accept shitness plus a dash of not-giving-a-****.

Could it not have gone into one of the previous 100 i hate Stanton threads.......

So he was shit, so where a few others. Don't get me started on Melksham, fast earning the biggest soft c*** on the field tag.....

I for one never really had any problems with McPhee expect he would in most games drop a mark whilst well clear.

I saw Stanton throw himself into one or two contest and really he did have a poor match but so did most of them.

So that we are looking at stats:
He had 30 Disposals.. Consisting of 16K, 14H. Kicked no score himself and had 0 assists.

zero assists? he assisted the Tigers half a dozen times!

that was one of the worst games I've ever seen from an Essendon player. I'm sick of people making excuses for him, he should be made accountable for his continuous clangers.

If you have a look at his efficiency percentages and average number of disposals from last season, it stacked up with some of the best midfielders going around. I think BtG posted these numbers up about a fortnight ago. He copped a lot of shit last season as well at the games which was uncalled for. If you actually go regularly to games, you get the gist of who the fans like/dislike fairly quickly into the match and he was one who wasn't particularly liked.

Those stats don't include the times when he doesn't even take possession of the ball when its his for the taking and i can think of several instances of the above just this season.

I think a fair appraisal of stanton is that for a bloke of his experience he should be doing some things a lot better.

I reckon he's ok in straight line.

Yeah, that is a surprising development. With the team adopting a much harder line than previous and with Melksham's aggro background it's not something I expected.

Wally and Goodwin should need to address that.

0 Assists

If only Hille (i think) had taken that mark.

He was quiet tonight but let me repeat that was a disappointing team performance.

Still not sure why it was not paid. Almost as bad as that throw that lead to a Tigers' goal late in the final qtr.

He wasn't Robinson Crusoe tonight, but I think he was driving the boat!
I listened to the game from Perth via 3AW online and even the commentators were starting to agree with the "haters".
Loving that I'm not the only one on here that thinks the Stanton Lovers run this show and he is "untouchable"!

Unfortunately for stanton when he does turn it over, he REALLY turns it over where the other team usually takes it down the other end and scores or he kills our momentum which stands out like dogs balls.

He is playing no different to anyother year, alot of good but his mistakes make your head explode.
