Isn't that just due to time zone differences? We're effectively a day ahead of the USA, and there is no way they were going to release it here before the US.

Wouldn't they just release it simultaneously like D+ does?

Probably, which means it depends on what time of day it's released in the US.

The time difference between Sydney & New York is currently 16 hours, so 8am NY = midnight Sydney, 10am NY = 2am Sydney (+1 day).

If it's released at 7pm in the New York, that's 11am the following day Australian time.

Is that the time it's released in America? D+ releases middle of the night over there.

I notice with Star Trek Prodigy they advertise it as dropping Friday, but we don't see it here until Saturday. So they mean Friday in the USA.

I definitely watched the new Ep on Friday last week.

I’m the opposite I like the new series as I have watched the old series recently of enterprise and voyager and found them both pretty sh*t.

I can’t remeber too much of discovery but I think there’s a lot of nostalgia involve when people diss the new series.
Changed my mind

discovery is utter utter crap …stayed with it till season 3 and just completely over the Michaelmary Sue character

Enjoying the show now it’s set in the future.
Thought it was bloody weird having all that advance tech set before TOS.

Yeah I think this is them admitting they stuffed up and jumping forward but I don't know why they started there in the first place. Was never a good idea.

Don’t forget the whole Spock bullshit too

I do wonder if it was their way to do a backdoor pilot for a new show but surely would have worked better having Disco set in the future and then randomly have them stuck in the past for an episode..

Would had been better to just cancel the show imo…better shows have been canceled after 2 seasons than this crap on Netflix

So like all ST shows?

That's great to hear, as I really liked S3.
Far from it.

All they have is just another epic event that is going to destroy everything in its path. I get that the seasons are short so they need to cram a lot in but some character development would be nice. Cramming it chock full of wokeness does not a storyline make.

I will admit that the little side story with the Ni’Var was somewhat interesting (morally thought provoking).

The fact you say that without the slightest hint of irony about a ST show is where you lose me. It's like the people whinging about Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor as if the show hasn't always been incredibly progressive.

Well - if you haven't watched ep 3 yet get ready for your fill because it is about to go up to a level unseen before. There is nothing wrong with being slightly left or right of center - the problem is when you go full socialist.

Oh - and the problem with Jodie Whittaker is that she simply cant act.

You mean the show that for years worked on a rule that there was no currency and everyone was able to share resources for the betterment of society may have a socialist undercurrent? Say it ain't so!

Undercurrent is the key here. This junk has gone full *.

In 4 seasons the show has gone from pretty epic to dull. Something best watched when you don't want to think too much. They should bring back bad Jo Jo and Gabriel. They where far better than Burnham (who seems to cry a lot). Poor Saru has become a watered down version of himself.
