Luke who in his 1st fight in a fighter was one of 3 survivors(plus Han and the wook) and took out the death star.
...
Luke establishes that he is a talented natural pilot, now you might find it far fetched that that extrapolates to combat ability in the X-Wing, and that's fair enough, but, all things being equal, Rey is equally far fetched in the Falcon.

Read an interesting article about Rey and her parents today. It's pointed out that Kylo tells her they are in a pauper's grave on Jakku, despite Rey's last memory of them flying away. Now, Kylo could be lying, but he tells her she knows the truth. Just as Maz tells her in TFA that she can see it in here eyes, she knows the truth, they're not coming back. So whatever the answer, maybe there is more connection between JJ and RJ than people are willing to accept.
Or that's another oversight like the several already in there.

It’s the the story’s job to keep me interested in it and it failed, so it doesn’t matter if Rey’s powers get explained in the next movie it won’t fix anything because I won’t watch it because the first two films failed to make me care enough about what happens next.

Anakin got his limbs cut off and burnt to crisp yet he’s a Mary Sue, ******* spare me.

Other than making a tough but not impossible shot Luke doesn’t do anything powerful.
Episode 1 would confirm he is.

Except that for every thing that Luke and Anakin succeed in, there is an equal Rey success.

However, everything they fail in, there is no equal or greater failure by Rey.

Hero of Yavin (despite surviving it) with zero training both in the force and as a fighter pilot.

Rey knocks out three tie fighters in one shot within the first 25 minutes of TFA, Luke never displays that sort of aptitute.

The battle of Yavin says otherwise.

Though ESB brought him back to the pack and made him more relatable and not so "perfect".(but that is the greatest of any star wars films)

Indeed, but two movies in, it's not looking good. It's 3/4 time and she's up quite a few goals.
The only movie that made Luke more relatable and not so perfect was Empire.

Same with Anakin and Episode 3.

I'm willing to wait until the final film before making my decision on this trilogy.

Again, that's fair.

Are you willing to concede if things continue on their current course?

Almost, he’s not instantly liked by every character like Rey is.

Obi Wan gave Luke force training in the falcon.

Luke is the son of Anakin, that alone is enough to imply natural force affinity, and it also something that Rey would have been able to get away with.

Nonetheless though, Luke still got beat up by Sandpeople and Vader was just about to shoot him down too before Han showed up.

He was feared by 1 or 2 and also had issues with his age.

But that has nothing to do with what we are discussing.

Obi Wan gave Luke force training in the falcon.
A couple of lines.

What garbage.

The trilogy isnt even finished yet. We have no idea about where her powers came from.

And if she is a Mary sue then would hate to think what Anakin and luke are.

It's pretty straight forward really.
Is she overpowered? Possibly as we havent got the full story yet.(with a movie to go)
Is Luke and Anakin? 100% if Rey is the pass mark.

You know VII and VIII take place days apart, meaning she goes from a scavenger to a Jedi knight within a week? Remind me when Luke or Anakin do that..

More far fetched. Luke is average in the Falcon, and has several instances of near death fighting the DS. Rey just triple shots ties for fun.

Luke is a ready made superior fighter pilot as is Anakin supposedly.

Both have the skills and talent without any training.

She at least gets some training during VIII.

As said prev will reserve my judgement on the trilogy as a whole until VIV.

Superior fighter pilot? He shoots down two ties after immense difficulty then almost gets blown up several times fighting the DS, saved only by Biggs and Wedge and then Han.

He survives a major attack and is one of only 3 out of the entire squadron on that 1st death star let alone blows the thing up.

As I said Empire seemed to bring him back a bit as 3 did for anakin.
Will see how VIV turns out.
