Yes an attachment at the bottom of the controller. However I think the lightsabre duel game will be the one to feature it.

That's a bit silly.

Not going to buy this on the reviews. But I got my Wii chipped so I'll DL it and give it a run.

These reviews are pretty disappointing.

Might be a EB 7 day refund game i think.

Buy it, smash it, return for full refund.

I have every intention of buying it, but without Multiplayer, they can go **** themselves.

Like you said, I'll probably rent it from EB for a week.

The gameplay looks like the standard wii fare much like how Zelda worked with swinging the sword. If you move the control sideways you're not going to move your sabre sideways. I think Clone Wars: Light Sabre duels may be more like that.

It looks like a fun game but way too overhyped. The gameplay is nothing we haven't already seen by the sounds of it.

It plays basically the same as Jedi Knight. Only a lot faster so you have absolutely NFI what's going on.

ok this is turning out very disappointingly....

looks like i might have to change my full pre-order considering i have so many games that need to be played and there's more than a couple of embarrassing reviews for this game

so many games being released in the future and i have no room for mediocrity in the collection.....

still will give it a bit more time and reviews though.

Well the IGN review is in, and it is a disapointing 7.3, and news that the game is a pissy 8-10 hours at a stretch.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a valiant effort at rejuvenating the largely underwhelming Star Wars videogame franchise. Some of the technology here is a little too far ahead of its time, though that could prove to be promising for future installments. Uninspired level design and some tedious enemy battles mar an experience that gives you power over the Force like we've never really seen before. While it's far from perfect, Star Wars fans will find that it's worth playing through simply for its story and the ability to use the Force in fairly awesome ways.

Presentation - 8.0
Mostly great cutscene work that holds up a nice story. The upgrade options are good, but having to load the simple menu is a pain.

Graphics - 8.0
Some of the technical work is great, but it isn't used as well as it could be. Most environments look great, though some objects and bits of animation look a little bland or stiff.

Sound - 9.0
It makes use of the Star Wars sound library, so of course it's fantastic.

Gameplay - 7.0
Using the force is great fun, but many of the enemies (and bosses) can be tedious to fight. Level design isn't very inspired

Lasting Appeal - 6.5
The game isn't very long (Eight to Ten hours if you don't rush) and there's not a ton to go back for.

This is turing out to be REALLY dissapointing. I was looking forward to this game, and especially with such a low lasting appeal rating from IGN.........I think I'll still buy it though.

yeh i decided to keep my pre-order...and even though i got the message that it was in a couple of hours ago...i'll pick it up tomorrow and play it

still doesn't look too bad

either way....it was a gift voucher that i bought it with anyways so nothing really to lose

It came out today so unless you are a reviewer no chances of finishing this quick. I just picked it up but havent had a chance to play it yet.

Could get it a couple of days ago at a few places, so there is the chance some have finished it

Haven't got it myself, wasn't overly impressed by the demo but will probably grab it down the track

Was out yesterday in a lot of places mate. And its allegedly rather short

Just started playing it.

The first mission you play as Vader and is pretty pathetic actually.

However the apprentice is awesome and restored my faith that it will be one of the best star wars games since jedi knight.

It's fun, but it's as repetitive as hell.

Agree completely. Not as bad as some reviews I've seen too. Alot of fun to be had.
Alot of fun to be had, but for how long, is it replayable? A game that is around 8 hours long would need something to hold onto the game for, otherwise it will be a record for returns of the game.

The Wii review is in.

Force Unleashed makes up for some of its visuals with certain elements that end up looking really nice (Felucia on the whole is a pretty colorful, vibrant area), but it really comes down to the lack of detail in visuals and in presentation -- camera and AI - working in tandem. It can be a blast to play, and using the nunchuk and Wii-mote for force powers is unrivaled when compared to any other control scheme, but the gameplay isn't strong enough on its own to make up for the overall rushed feeling in the game.

LucasArts and Krome tried to make the experience unique on every platform by adding in the duel mode on Wii, and while it’s a nice touch, we can't help but think of how the PSP version (again, also made by Krome) was privy to not only a vs. mode of its own, but an additional challenge and survival mode as well. Whether you're looking at the lack of modes, the clunky presentation, or the PS2-like visuals, there's just so much in Force Unleashed that you wish was better, but ultimately ends up being just passable.

The combat is great, the game is extremely entertaining at times (if you're a Star Wars fan, you'd do well to pick it up, or at least rent it), but it's never truly great in any stretch of the imagination. We look forward to what Krome and LucasArts could do with future Wii titles, especially considering the awesome potential of Wii MotionPlus, but as far as Force Unleashed is concerned, the game is a fun but flawed action game, and nothing more.

If you're looking for this type of game on Wii, give it a rental, If you're a big Star Wars fan, you'll enjoy it, If you want a polished, well-rounded effort overall, you won't find it here.

RATINGS
Presentation - 6.0
The story is stronger than the new trilogy at times, and a bit silly and random at others. Camera and AI issues hurt the experience, as do the load times and PS2-like visuals.

Graphics - 6.5
Painful at times, and passable at others. Cinemas show off a serious lack of graphical effort, but in-game Force has its moments of greatness, or at least "goodness." A lot more can be done on Wii.

Sound - 7.0
Most of the voice acting is pretty strong, but James Earl Jones is missed as the voice of Vader. Really, really missed. As always, the Star Wars score is gripping and emotional.

Gameplay - 8.0
The force is strong with this one. Wii-mote swinging works very well, the nunchuk is put to great use, and everything just works. We would have loved to use IR for grabbing specific objects.

Lasting Appeal - 7.0
The main quest took us six hours overall, and duel mode adds a bit more to it all. More modes are needed though, and the game is entirely linear.

OVERALL - 7.8/10

Alot of fun to be had, but for how long, is it replayable? A game that is around 8 hours long would need something to hold onto the game for, otherwise it will be a record for returns of the game.

No.

Smashing people with Force Powers is fun, but there are only so many times you can fling people across the room.

And I'm a little ****ing annoying that some stupid reptilian creatures can block against light sabre attacks.

Well I brought it last night for $85 at target (with a free lightsaber lol), its not exactly Terrible. I think the Graphics, especially (us per usual) on the cut scenes are brilliant. The force powers are awesome, picking up objects/stormtroopers has never been so fun.

Will get get old? Yes without doubt. Its very repetitive....in some ways, but thats no different to doing Laps in Grand Turismo or such and such.

Its not as good as it could have been, I still think with a bit of luck it'll take me a week or so to finish, (if I don't go back to GTA) I've spent about 2.5-3 hours and I've only done, about 3 missions?....

Anyway I think its a fun game, it just will get old fast.
