Yeah that was TPM for me as a 7 year old, guess 5 was just a touch too young. I have pretty strong memories of watching the films for the first time though so at least I have that.
Well, ANH and ROTJ, for some reason I can't remember my first experience watching TESB.
Got to see the special editions at the movies that was fun.
I use to live next to a very old theatre and the owner would allow me to watch movies for free if i did some work for him lols ie candy bar,taking peoples tickets etc would have been about 15/16 at the time

the same thing happened to me.... old guy offers young GG free movies etc if work in his little theater, except he sexually abused me

its actually far worse, which ive mentioned a few times in the GD board, the stories i have and could tell. but what doesnt kill you makes you stronger apparently....they just forgot to include the part "stronger so as to endure even more hardship and abuse that never abates"...anyway....enough about all that. im ok (not really)

Downloaded Harmy's Despecialized Trilogy. Looking forward to watching. Hazily remember pre-1997 VHS but certainly never saw them in widescreen.

My brother gave me a set of OT blu-rays at a funeral on Friday, they aren't the despecialised ones but a different remaster. Not sure by who.

Disney would surely know they are sitting on a gold mine but they'd also know that they need to get it perfect or people will complain still. Original release but remastered in ultra hd. No touching effects or sound. Just clear up the picture and hope you don't end up changing the colours or ratio too much.

Unfortunately I cannot see the Original Theatrical versions ever being released in commercial format again until George Lucas passes away. No proof of it, but the money grabbers at Disney aren't stupid, they would have releases them out on blu-ray/4K already etc if they could
BTW am I the only one who loves Ponda Baba, loved that guy, so good to see him again in Rogue One.
