I feel you are overreacting. I don't think it matters that much. They can already do whatever they want.
Just caught up and I agree with this. There's been a massive overreaction becuase people immediately think the worst and assume Disney is going to destroy Star Wars like people have already been arguing.

All it does is give us a deeper look at how the universe works and opens up new possibilities, they won't erase what's come before it.

“Through the Force, things you will see. Other places. The future…the past. Old friends long gone.”

"Decide you must, how to serve them best. If you leave now, help them you could; but you would destroy all for which they have fought, and suffered."

JJ did this with Star Trek. Took the Enterprtise idea, basically made a movie that was a reboot but took characters fans loved and catapsulted them into a parallel universe.

It firewalled the new movies from canon issues as everything in Trek hsppened in another timeline.

Something is coming SW fans...I sense it.

Worked for the movie. But the Time travel stuff is like a nuclear arsenal. Once you use it, it changes everything...and inevitably for the worst.

Woah, people didn't like them? I thought they were fantastic. This whole time travel element ain't breaking anything in Star Wars. Yoda talked to Luke about how the future is in motion, but the Force allows you to see it, and the past, this is just an exploration of that theme. Hell, if the Mortis arc of TCW didn't break things, this certainly doesn't. Disney ain't gonna just flip some switch and change things. The whole theme of those episodes was you can't change the past. Asokha always survived - we saw her at the end of the S2 finale - Kanan didn't.

I've only caught up with 10, 11. Will see 12 and 13 tonight. But yes, very good episodes. Better than the ST movies. When Rebels (or Clone Wars) dies it right, it's excellent Star Wars quality. They were meatier episodes, full of cause and effect, things moving quickly into place for the ANH/RO era. They're like this now because Rebels is shutting down permanently so no more stupid little filler episodes.

Only regret is Rebels end of season 2 was spectacular, so much foreboding and "cause and effect", Ezra to the dark side? Ezra with Kylos lightsaber, etc. But season 3 and half of season 4 meandered despite the welcome entry of Thrawn.

Hoping for some woah outcomes and endings. Like what happens to Ezra given he's the last Jedi (outside of Kenobi) before RO and he's young, so what happened to him? I still think he's Snoke

How about Ezra teleports to the distant past, to try to fix something, he gets trapped there, in the outer regions, and eventually becomes Snoke?!

I'm willing to take bets.

No, that's not how it works. Just watch the new eps and relax.

It's not the game changer you're assuming it to be.

It's basically like the Mortis arc. Take it with that amount of weight.

I'll wait for 12 and 13 before getting ahead of myself, but bro, I've never been more convinced of something in life than Ezra being Snoke. It's gotta happen sonehow ( if I'm right :( )

I'm 99% sure he is not.

Rebels is a kids show. No way theyll make a good guy like Ezra become Snoke.

Well they wouldn't do it in the show, it'd be outside of that scope, but still don't see it happening.

One can argue they did that already with TLJ.

Of course but there's plenty of people who don't think that way so it's all just personal opinion.

I would suggest waiting to see what happens with these new developments before calling Star Wars dead though.

I've liked all the season 4 episodes so far. Jedi Knight is in my top 5 episodes. I loved Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine againagain in the last two.
I thought the WAY they implemented time travel and the way they executed it, was near perfect. Filoni did a great job of bringing in a controvesial concept.
Its just that I don't like the time travel/changing the past actually being in the universe. Its a very dangerous concept that has to be made and used in the right way, which I think Rebels did.

If the temple is 100% destroyed like how its shown at the end of the episode. Then I'm OK with it being a 'once off' type thing (Even though it was just to bring a popular character back. Remember Maul?).

If it were to return though, then I would have more of an issue with it.

Again, I don't think they've done anything that changed the past.

Ok, I'm all caught up.

-What does the voice say to Ezra when he closes the doorway and faints? It sounds like "something something has changed".

-When Ezra is walking around the world between worlds, before he finds the portal to Ahsoka, you can hear voices from TFA and TLJ...namely Maz Canata and Rey saying things. Yet another hint that Ezra is connected to the ST.

No it isn't, you hear voices from all over star wars Canon.

Why? Because they're trying to tell a cohesive story? Wasn't that a criticism of the sequels?
No, if Disney uses this as a way to reboot everything into their image I’ll be out.

Whenever you introduce time travel to fix mistakes you damage the story overall imo.

I'm not sure what you're referring to when that wasn't the scope of the episodes in the slightest? Nor was the part of GG's post that you bolded even relevant to this complaint.
