The Super Star Destroyer goes down a little too easily.

I was a gun at X-Wing, but it would've taken even me a bit more effort to bring that bohemoth down.

Of course it will. I think they're marketing it as "The Force Awakens" to try and associate it more with the Originals (which everyone refers to by name) and not the Prequels (which everyone refers to by number).
I refer to the originals by number as much as name, as much as I refer to the prequels by number as much as name. Maybe just me?

You know that bit where Palpatine says he killed his Master?

And the whole 'Rule of Two' thing?

And, if you want to go that far, Luceno's book (yes I know it's not still canon)?

Fairly compelling. :p
Not compelling.
1/ Rule of two wasnt always the rule. As you will see in this movie. Maybe.
2/ Darth Plag had sith power to inhabit another. If thats not doubt about his death I dont know what is. But that doesnt even matter because...
3/ Abrams has pretty much stated everywhere that the EU has little to no bearing on these movies. Its all about maintaining the canon of the "movies".

It wasn't always the rule, but it existed for a thousand years.

He didn't have Sith power to inhabit another, he had the power to create life.

So when Palpatine in the movies says that Plagueis is dead? He has no motive to lie. In fact, telling Anakin Plagueis is alive would actually have compelled Anakin to turn more, as Plagueis was the one who knew how to save people from dying.

For those complining about Lucas edits, have you guys heard of the Star Wars Revisited editions? A bloke on the net who has re-edited ANH pretty decently - he goes a bit far, and has admitted he'll scale it back for ESB - but he has fixed up a lot of Lucas's issues, restored a lot of stuff that didn't need to be altered, and all-up makes the movie much more watchable than what Lucas has made it. Kind of sad that an 'amateur' - I use that cautiously as his cut is brilliant - can do better than Lucas.

If you're curious, look it up. I'm fairly sure his ESB is meant to be out soon.

And you know the motives of a known liar.
I dont think you are showing enough respect to Sids. Or at the very least you do not fully comprehend his dark ways. Everything sith masters teach is a promise. For self-preservation.
An ungodly skill that can be attained. Power to save life. Promises Promises. Not many deliverables. But it all sounds good. So good. You know. 1000 virgins delivery upon achievement of objective kind of thing.
Its about belief.. And want. And desire. And dark ambition.
And the fact that I personally think a legit Sith Lord can do whatever the hell he wants.
But having said all that. I dont think its plag. Wish it was. I think we will see a different kind of sith.
One that can become more powerful than you can ever imagine..

It will have a sidious legacy. I feel it.

Maybe one day someone can go back over JJ's movies and replace the old style TIEs with Interceptors, X-Wing design evolves but TIEs go backwards?????

Who says Tie Interceptors are a new generation of Tie Fighters? Maybe they do different things? Maybe Interceptors are more nimble for individual flight and Ties are more stable for formation flying or something I dunno.

Must admit. I didnt recall the vader "nooooo" then before he saved Luke by giving sidious the heave ho.
Now the Episode 3 first vader"Nooooo" has context. Loathe I am to say it but gotta give Lucas credit here for that detail.
That was added in for the blurays. And it's shit.
It's like poetry, they rhyme.

Interceptors were for officers and squadron leaders; normal dudes got TIE Fighters; storms troopers and pilots were disposable.
