Turned on 7Mate. Changed channels. Just couldn't do it.

Meanwhile, I finally picked up the elusive Captain Phasma figurine today. For some reason, she's been scarce in Adelaide recently. Now I have to decide what to focus on next.

Armour Ups? Two-packs? Vehicles?

Hmmmmm...

****, I'd forgotten about that.

Christ.
If Plagueis can manipulate midi-chlorians themselves to create life, perhaps then in Ep7+ we might get that scenario that Plagueis created him?
Just trying to see a point in George adding that into Ep1, and that Plagueis story in Ep3.

Watch the movies again.
When they're in the desert after crash-landing, c3po laments he doesn't even know what planet they're on.
In Anakin's room, c3po tells the departing Anakin something like "you are my maker, but can you finish me before you leave forever".
Even if Anakin didn't make him from scratch, but just repair him.....c3po spent years on tatooine serving anakin's mother.
So he'd know he was on tatooine in ep4.
George shouldn't have made c3po a tatooine resident then in Ep1.

Let's play a game. It's called "What happens to C-3PO at the end of Episode III?".

Penalty: Incorrect use of the term "McGuffin"
Not at all. It served no purpose to the story afterward. No one was ever after C3PO for information, etc. And if anything, you'd think R2D2 would be far more valuable to capture and get information out of than C3PO.
That memory wiping scene only put in to explain the Ep4 thing.
C3PO could've been better introduced into the prequel story than as an Anakin hobby creation and have to then do a memory-wipe just to tie up that loose end.

A McGuffin is a device used to keep driving the plot forward. Something everyone's going after. Like "Rosebud" in Citizen Kane, or the Holy Grail in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
