reddit rekon script released a while ago. rey is apparently the chosen one spirit. "no you are my father" sounds so dumb so no idea if true.

OFFICIAL FRENCH TRANSLATION JUST BEEN RELEASED by Disney France.....it's "Les Derniers Jedi", which is PLURAL (singular would have been Le Dernier Jedi, "S" is for the plural in french).

In spain they have translated as Los Ultimos Jedi. So, plural too. Interesting. It kind of confirms that it will be about Luke AND Rey.

Kinda suggests Rey is Anakin re-incarnated in Rian's script

How? All the look suggests is that she's no longer got her hair in little buns. Luke, Leia and Han all got a hair cuts throughout the original trilogy. Hell Leia changed her hair in every other scene.

She doesn't need to be anyone reincarnated the simplest and best solution is for her to be Luke's daughter. Most of the other theories require mental gymnastics or just complicate things for no real payoff.

Her hair looks like Hayden Christensen's in Revenge of the Sith, and she's still holding Anakin's lightsaber....looks like she OWNS it now. Remember too, her force power was able to pull that lightsaber from the snow OVER THE TOP of Kylo's attempt at retrieving it. Further indicating she OWNS it.

Her hair looks like Qui-Gon's in Phantom Menace (ooh new theory ;)) Anakin never pulled his lightsaber from the snow Luke did if anything that scene was reminiscent of Luke on Hoth, the only thing other than fighting that Anakin did well with lightsabers was lose them. She owns it just as much if her father is Luke, it's the Skywalker family lightsaber, passed from parent to child.

I've always thought Rey was progeny of Obi-Wan, since the actual movie screening of The Force Awakens.

There were so many hints and call-backs to Obi-Wan in the movie itself that (imo) people will smack their foreheads and say out loud, "derr, of course" when it's revealed in The Last Jedi.

Obi-Wan's grand-daughter sorry.

btw...

So? Anakin would be important anyway due to him being the grandparent of both the antagonist and protagonist as well as with Kylo Ren's obsession with Vader. Hell Anakin's ghost could put Rey on a mission to redeem Kylo.

Btw, rumor is Snoke tells Luke he is Anakin's father. Not sure if that means he's Plagueis or not.

That'd be one crazy script by Rian if Snoke is Anakin's father, and Anakin is Rey re-incarnated. Imagine also the psychological impact that would have on Kylo who worships the fallen Anakin.

I think we'll see Kylo acquire Darth Vader's red lightsaber. Meanwhile, Rey will own Anakin's one. And thus a duel between Kylo and Rey, or Vader and Anakin, the lightsabers anyway, heavily implied/stylized. Perhaps something we then see revealed in Episode IX -- why that Vader-Anakin lightsaber duel took place, what it means.
