I still believe Kylo killing Han is (will be) the trigger for his (re)turn back to the light.

He thought - as Snoke had him believe that it was his family holding him back, stopping him from fulfilling his destiny. Convinced in Snoke's wisdom, he killed Han to free himself from his internal conflict. It didn't work, and his pain and confusion is only exacerbated - providing the frayed strings of 'good' that Rey is able to use to bring him back to the light.
Yes, but he killed Han ******* Solo, not some anonymous schlubs on Alderaan. There should be no 'it's all cool, bud' after that.

Because everyone knew Harrison Ford wanted that character killed off, people forgive Kylo for it

I didn't say anything about redemption - internally, he thought killing Han would kill the pain from his conflicted emotions. He so desperately wants to be evil (powerful), but it's not him, and killing Han only intensified the pain.

I think by the end of VIII we will see the turn/redemption of Kylo, but despite his actions he will not be forgiven until IX. I wonder if the "from a certain point of view" Kenobi story will be repeated (Anakin was killed by Vader)- and Ben Solo will be celebrated in IX as the man who struck down Kylo, avenging his father's death.

Kylo Ren in the background grey jedi or dark side Rey ?
Looks to me like Kylo brings her before Snoke. She doesn't appear to be a prisoner. The dark outfit says that she's progressed in her training. Obviously the lead up to the torture scene.

Kylo probably really is lining up the bridge of Leia's ship and ready to fire and kill her.....because of that line he says, kill the past, etc. But he probably thinks, man, i don't even hate my mom, i only didn't like my dad who was never around, i can't kill my mom too just for Snoke, fck him im not doing it. And that will redeem Kylo in the eyes of the fans at least.
Mum not mom.

It has to be taken into strong consideration. The creation of "Kylo" is purely to serve as this bridge between the OT characters and the ST new Disney-created characters.

Another example -- because Carrie Fisher passed away suddenly, again "Kylo" will be used, scapegoated, to kill off another OT character.

Got your tickets yet GG?
Not yet. I'll wait till it actually releases. Like last time (R1/TFA) I'll have to once again find an opportune time when I can sneak in alone, sit by lonesome, and can whisk out again without the mocking glare of humanity that I didn't go with a "special someone".

**** em, I went and saw TFA and RO by myself, too. Perhaps easier said for me, though, I know I'm great. :D

As for the new TV spot, I think it's the most promising yet. To me, if you're going to make Star Wars "fresh and new" as John Boyega claims Rian has, you've got to explore beyond the light-dark paradigm. Hopefully a third option will open up. Even better if Rey and Kylo take it, rebelling against their masters.

GG you're making too much of this again. I recall you saying the same thing last time but I and many others pointed out it's not unusual at all to see a movie by yourself.

Off the top of my head, Logan, War of the Planet of the Apes, Passengers, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, It, and Dunkirk are films I've seen by myself. And that's just this year.
