Early access now begins on the 13th and access will be staggered across the seven days based on when people applied their pre-order codes.

Apparently the grace period mentioned by community reps has been discarded but places like Amazon will be able to start shipping a few days before the release date.

I pre-ordered on the 24th of November so I doubt I will get more than a couple of days early access and I highly doubt I will receive my physical copy before Christmas.

Such a shit time of the year to release a highly anticipated game!

All the crap makes it ****ing hard to find anything worth reading. They ****ed up making the release date so close to Christmas though. Just seems a silly time to release anything that isn't a kids film or grog.

They aren't releasing it here yet. Amazon is the popular method but we aren't sure when they will be shipping so we might miss out on the first 1-2 weeks. I'm very close to cancelling my order with Amazon and going with a key site but that is potentially a dubious method.

If Amazon haven't shipped by the end of the week I will be cancelling and going with a key site. Early access begins at 11PM tomorrow and I will hopefully receive my invite by the end of the week. Once I start, I will not want to have to sit around waiting for a package to arrive from America over the mother****ing Christmas period!

I'm getting the CE, so I'm not cancelling that, but I'm also tempted to get a key from a keysite, as you can you use that key to play for until your box from america shows up and enter the CE key too. The free months stack as well.

Because they're not releasing it here. The retailers arent going to arrange their shipping to suit us because ... we're not relevant. We're not a launch territory.

If you paid for express shipping, then if they ship it on the 20th you will get it sometime between christmas and new years most likely. If you didn't pay for express shipping, then you werent going to get it before new years anyway.

It's possible that Amazon may ship by the end of this week (Bioware is encouraging them to do so), so it's really up in the air as to when it will arrive.

Australia not a launch site? What an oversight theyve made, Australia is huge into gaming and MMOs... Shooting themselves in the foot right off the bat.

In the grand scheme of things we're not really. They're doing this to soften the load on their servers for release.

Yeah I was late November too. I don't expect to get in until the weekend but I will be keeping an eye on updates and emails.

PVP experience exploit has people in the high 30's already Not a good start Bioware!

Though Bioware is denying there's anyone that high. I'd like a screenshot as proof, it does sound likely to me that an exploit like that would slip through however.

Edit : I got in Early Access in the first wave around midnight, was barely anyone on my server (east coast PVP). something like 44 people in the BH area until i went to sleep at 3am for work. Was rock steady, no problems whatsoever. Even the problems that affected me in open beta like occasionally not being able to loot due to lag were gone, and speeder flights seemed smoother for me too.
 
Help an amazon noob out, how does one play the game with an early access code if they haven't received the physical copy of the game, is there a download link somewhere?

And if so, how much are we talking size wise?

Once you redeem the preorder code, go into the Preorder section of "My Account" on their website, there's a download link there.

The installer wants 25gig and I think its about a 20gig download, higher if anything.

If you're not aware, the amount of early access depends on when you redeemed the key. I entered my key within about an hour of preorders opening back in July, and I got in in the first wave. A friend who ordered later that day got in in the third wave, I think.

If you entered it in in the last couple of weeks, I'd expect to get into early access on the 17th or 18th.

If you were in the recent huge beta, you can just use that client. It's compatible with release, just needs a 100mb patch.

It specifically said to delete it though. I assumed there must be a reason ie problems down the line or something.
 
Decided to pre-order it yesterday from a cd key site that my brother recommended. No idea what server I'll be rolling on but if that Swiftsure one will be oceanic then I'll go probably start on that one.
