I have been doing my best to ignore this game to avoid getting over excited, but I have been hearing some very promising things about this game and I am finding it harder by the day to contain myself. I have been waiting for a good MMO since WoW vanilla and this is looking the goods. After spending months in Aion and barely getting close to the higher levels, I am wary of sinking any cash into anything that isn't a AAA title.

I want to wait for the official Australian release, but I doubt that will happen. What is the best way to get this before then?

Thankfully we have quite a few big games coming out in the meantime.

Played Beta, its very very decent. Very much a typical Bioware single player mixed with Wow. Played through to level 11 on Trooper and 8 on Jedi knight, the story is very enthralling and there doesn't seem tot be any grind.

Pvp was fun, but i didn't get into it to much, will def be playing at launch, along with quite a few of my old Wow guild mates.

Plus its Star Wars.
 
Downloaded the whopping 25gb last night. Hopefully I get a decent amount of playtime over the weekend.

NDA has been lifted too so there is plenty of info coming out now.
 
Haven't paid much notice to this game with BF3, MW3, etc all out and basically forgot about it until I got the Beta invite in my email yesterday. Apparently they're doing it in waves so not sure when I can play but I assume some time over the weekend. Will download and install later (probably will have to keep it on overnight to finish it).

If it keeps my attention away from other games that are out right now then I will know it's a decent game. If it's shit at least this also gives me a chance to cancel my pre order. Win win.

You can pre-order through Amazon US now, and they will give you a code to put into swtor.com. It gives you access from december some time (before the 20th), but I'm not sure whether you have to wait until the physical copy ships and arrives for you to continue playing after a while or so. I haven't quite got it figured out yet. The code you put into swtor.com shows up on Origin as a pre-order, btw.

If I enjoy whatever time I get to play this weekend, I will work out how to best appropriate the game come release date.

10AM Friday 25th CST. Which I think is 1AM Saturday morning. I guess I won't be getting much sleep this weekend!

It's South Australian Central Standard Time, otherwise the date would be Friday the 26th or something.

Friday morning 10:30am in Melbourne.

Nah it is CST which is US central time. Friday cannot be the 26th. 3am Saturday for eastern Australia.
