Started at 1900. Now 3 hours and 16 minutes in and I'm still 416 in the queue. There goes a saturday arvo.

I found a way to avoid having to re queue when i want to stop playing, went afk for 30 mins and could still get on the server, even though the wait time was 40 minutes. Tried it again went afk.... error 3 :( Now back to the end of the que.
 
Rocking a Jedi consular level 6 ATM on the shui cho or whatever it is server. This game is the shit. First mmo for me Never got into wow. Good game to start with.
 
What are you guys playing at the moment? Is this the beta? Do you have to pay? I haven't really been keeping up to date with the game.
 
And now my new computer which I have used to play Star Wars in three times is now broken, was half way through playing a Bounty Hunter until I got blue screened/ system dumped and shut down, haven't been able to turn the computer on since, I'm so pissed the computer company's gonna cop it tomorrow

Early access for pre-orders. If you pre-ordered a retail box from Amazon or wherever, they sent you an early access code, which started on the 13th and gradually let more people in, in waves.

Just got my cd key via email and am downloading the game/patches now. Judging by the massive queues it looks like I'll be giving Swiftsure a miss.

Loving it. With the downtime today I might actually get something done this week. I originally hated the idea of launching so close to Christmas but with the amount of free time I have right now it has worked out perfectly.

Took me a couple of characters to find the one I like so despite gaining access on Friday I'm only up to level 19 with my Jedi Shadow. Every time I plan on sitting down and just powering through some levels I get distracted by something and two hours later I remember what I was trying to do in the first place.

There is just so much to do. I haven't even done a flashpoint in a group yet. The crafting, though cluttered, is great fun. Being able to create top line gear without being a massive credit sink makes it very satisfying. Every profession has its place and none of them appear less viable than the others, depending on character class. The only annoyance is that crafting doesn't give exp and the UI really does need some loving.

The GTN is a piece of shit. That thing is so ridiculously unintuitive it makes me rage. No straight key word search, the 'useable by ...' doesn't work, filtering is borked and all of these issues make it very hard to recoup some crafting costs. The economy will suffer until they fix it.

PVP is good. It runs like utter shit though. Everywhere else in the game I get a minimum of ~35 FPS, averaging ~50, but as soon as I go into a warzone I average ~25. Even when I'm in a room by myself staring at the floor! My ping sits around 220 yet abilities feel like it is ten times that. Once they fix the ability lag PVP will take up 80% of my game time. It took me a while to get the hang of it and now I regularly finish close to the top in damage and objective points, even earning some MVP's here and there which is rare for a non healer.

Queues. I don't mind playing on a server that hits cap in peak times but the Swiftsure is queued nearly 24 hours a day. Hopefully they significantly raise the population cap today and the wait time drops. Anything under an hour would be good enough for me as long as disconnects don't send you back to the end of the line.

I bought a key that was called 'Origin key' but I haven't touched Origin itself. The game is added to origin but you don't have to go near it.
 
Am thoroughly enjoying the storyline, although I find it amusing that one scene had some jedi masters bemoaning the
hidden sith in their midst
whilst I'm innocently standing right there with my not-at-all-suspicious shiny twin red light sabers :) Is so much fun being a dark jedi, I'm all nice and friendly to keep my companion happy, but when it comes to the crunch have happily falsified vital scientific data, stolen from children and left innocent civilians to die painful, preventable deaths.

My lvl 19 Jedi Sentinel is Anxio, btw.

Haha yeah I'm playing dark as well. I'm so kind and helpful when people offer me stuff to do stuff but I lie, cheat, steal and murder to complete the job.

i am in a guild, but only because someone wanted help to start one up and i haven't bothered/figured out how to leave yet. I figure The Rules Committee would be a good name for a dark side guild

and my spoiler tag was meant to be ironic, btw. I didn't realise that it actually did it for real.
 
Was going to go Empire but after watching that first cinematic I decided to go Republic. My Jedi Knight is lvl 9 now and I'm really enjoying it. I'm on a low-pop server called Drooga's Pleasure Barge or something :p
