We have a great group of kids. The team simply hasn't gelled yet. You can't bring in 10 or so young players and expect the team to "click". They don't know each other well enough, don't read each other's intentions, get caught out of position and lose their man... it happens.

We might get on a bit of a streak later in the year if we get Heeney, Rampe Tippett, Rohan, Naismith (Nankervis oops... i wish!) back. But in the meantime, look for the positives. Hayward showed a LOT of potential tonight, Papley was great early, Jones is great to watch etc...

Take the positives, and we know we'll be back bigger and better later in the season.

Absolutely agree with this. Had we managed that last step against the Fairypuppy juggernaught, I would of put it down as the best of the lot. But we just couldn't quite do it when it mattered.

Back on topic, this year to me looks as close to cooked as one can expect. More injury worries potentially out of tonight, and just too many passengers (mainly out of necessity). A defence that is rocking badly, a midfield nowhere near its best, and a non-existent forward line. There are plenty of bright spots there - getting as close as we have in all 4 games, despite playing some very ordinary football is a sign of that, and there are some more good cygnets on the way through.

A down year could set us up quite nicely.

Not sure what some are complaining about. For years people have being saying play the kids. Now we are playing the kids and losing those people are still complaining.

We have some of the worst fans. Last year we were patting ourselves on the back over how young our team was. Now that we have significant injuries we're talking of a rebuild/the next 4 years are over. It's the worst run we've had in over a decade, but the sky isn't falling
