Take out Rance and put in Schulz or hughes and i think you'd be on the money. Riewoldt's a flanker and you need at least 1 second tall forward besides richo (although patto/simmo could feasibly play that role).

I reckon our 2nd 22 is actually quite promising. While we dont have a bunch of star youngsters yet, there seems to be alot of depth, especially

there is definately alot of competition amongst the 2 teams you have posted.. i believe the highlighted players are the ones that really need to do well early on and put the pressure on each other to perform.. i also think we may see alot of improvement in a few of those players as they will all be hungrier knowing what they have below them.
we may very well have a few surprise packets next season (ala tuck 2005, raines 2006)
2008 is sure to surprise us all i think..

Luke Mcguane is worthy to be one of the first defenders selected after showing the development he did last season...maybe with a ty esler no kick rule enforced he'll be even better.

probably got a little excited and agree with bowden, polak and thursfield and maybe king...but mcmahon (pretty ordinary year in an ordinary side) and polo(hasnt played footy for a long time and before then was hardly dominating) are definitely no certainties to be in the squad before Mcguane. He had a great finish to last season and if he continues that form will be a permanent fixture and rightly so.

I'm pretty sure Polak will be a forward in '08. They name Richo CHF, 'cause you can't put him FP, positions when naming a line-up mean SFA.

I read on either PRE/OER that Terry and co. have told Schulz there is a spot down back for him, which gets me thinking that Polak will be a forward, well at least to begin the season.

Those in bold I have seen enough of and are convinced will not play in a AFL premiership, due to retirement, injuries or ability and based solely that I think we are at least 2-3 years away, I hope I'm wrong.
So I guess the question I think is, do the selectors look at the long future now, throw them in the deep end and play the blokes who are likely to be around when we are good enough ? mix and match them a bit to give some experienced players to have around, or just pick purely on form ??
