Bears will win comfortably tomorrow. If they lose, I won't post again this season. I'm that certain.

UQ beat Caloundra by 3 points in a tight one.

Ressies also won as well.


Great results considering we only appointed our new Senior Coach, plus ressies coaches, on Tuesday.

different person mate but happy to send the carton in case he doesnt, cant stand Robina and glad they are gone from our grade, mainy because they were too good for us

p1ss off Crock, i pay my bets, cant believe they actually lost to Kenmore. i am thinking a nice slab of powers gold. hey does the bottom side of div 1 get relegated and the top side promoted at the end of the season?
 
Yep thats what happens ^^^^.

I think Robina had a few players missing. They have recruited a few players over the off-season whose names were not on the senior list. Kenmore has got a few of their old heads back.

My mate at Kenmore says the bears had their VC and one other old head out, but other than that they were full strength. Depth could be their issue, but good on them for getting a win under their belts.

Some of the other results were bizarre. From what I hear, Aspley might have benefited from having some state leaguers getting a run, but still you wouldn't expect them to be getting that close to Alex. And UQ beating Caloundra in Caloundra? Wow!

Let's hope the season remains as close as it was this week.

Note Caloundra's 2.7 to UQ's 3.2 in the last quarter to lose by three. Caloundra might want to invest in some new boots.

I have watched these comments for too long and decided it was time to get involved. Good to see an even first round. I can say that bearinthere was on the money because from all reports the kenmore team that played on saturday was totally different to the team that played in the 20/20 format. A lot of talls that hadnt been sighted earlier looked handy. Robina will def be better for the run but the no4 from the 20/20 comp has unfortunately had to go home to tassie before playing a game!

hey bear i got caught up at work and didnt get the carton to you. i will give it next week or do you want to go double or nothing

Same at UQ. Not bad for someone appointed 5 days before the first game. Keeping in mind that he coached the Threes to a GF in 2008, so he's not new to the caper.

Bears were happy with the result yesterday. We had a couple of big outs so it was good to see some of the younger blokes and big men stand up. Looking forward to playing Uni next week.

Plummer played so not sure how many big outs you could have :D

How long does it take to get a full rounds results up on the website? Are they sending em in by carrier pigeon?
