I reckon Hannay is dead set useless bigboy. Wouldn't be suprised to see Slater come in for Hodges in the next few days ...

Dont think Slater will come in, his game on the w/e was meant to be 'solid' but nothing special and they got beaten something like 54-4.

Also Dallas Johnson got put on report for a dangerous throw against the Bulldogs didn't he?

nsw side = sh*T!!!!!!!

i don't understand why the selectors would pick gasnier and gower over players like matt orford, brett kimmorley, scott hill and ben hornby.....
they are least better than finch n anasta, but compared to the above 4 players i don't understand why they have been picked.....
gasnier is a world class centre, 5/8 is not his position and he is better suited outside.... he is a waste at 5/8..... has a poor kicking game and rarely passes the ball....
gower is not in form and has not played much footy this year....
im a NSW fan, but the QLD side is so much stronger on paper esp in the halves.... i think we are gunna get smashed in Melbourne......
i would have picked matt orford and scotty hill in the halves... both have had experience together and are in great form atm.

orford > gower > finch
hill > gasnier > anasta

Wow, as a Qld supporter I am more worried about the NSW side than I was for game two. I Gasnier is a centre but he is also a line breaker and having him close to the action spells danger. Cooper and O'Donnell are good inclusions too.

Spewing about Gallen being selected as it robs the Sharks who have been untouched by Origin thus far and I really rate him.

Clinton deserves his Qld call up, hope he can do himself justice. Tony Carroll on the bench gives us a bit more defensive power too.

This looks like an even money match for mine. Possibly the Blues just in front.

Hornby is in the side. I think Hornby will play as 5/8 when he comes of the bench and gasnier will move to the backs. That at least gives us another dimension to our kicking game instead of going to gower all the time.

I guess its good for the Sharks to have Kimmorley in to play Brisbane, but damn it there is no doubt he is NSWs best halfback

Very, very happy to see 7 Broncos in the QLD side :)

New South Wales will run all over Queensland there backs are to big and to strong. Its just a shame they dont have Joey to set them up and it then would be 50 pt + romp. You reckon Gasnier cant play pivot it wont be funny when he runs in at least a double, this guy will be a league legend when his career finishes as a 5/8th

My money's on him being spanked whenever he touches the ball.

Their backs were equally as big and strong in Origin 2, yet QLD won 30 - 6. You sound like a twit.

That sounds about right. Hornby and Gower I think will rotate to either 5/8th or half back, when Gasnier moves into the centres.

How Flannery gets yet another game for the maroons, I've got no idea.

The NSW backs might be the same but they have included Cooper whose a world class player and QLD have bought in Hannay who is no good thats why he plays Premier league and Wesser is a full back and not a winger or centre!

Bit of a dillema in the Queensland side with the Kicking roles. Thurston, who's only missed one through out the origin series so far, Cam Smith has been kicking well so far and is averaging 70% for the storm and Schifcofske who is averaging a remarkable 80-odd % for canberra so far.
