State of Origin

Fourteen teams, two divisions.

Division 1:
Vic Metro
Vic Country
South Australia
Western Australia
Allies (NSW, NT and Tasmania)
Indigenous All-Stars
International Queenslanders (QLD players and Internationals)

Division 2:
Vic Metro 2
Vic Metro 3
Vic Country 2
Vic Country 3
Vic Country 4
Western Australia 2
South Australia 2

How it works:

Each team plays each team in its division twice, with the top four making finals. It then goes 1v4 and 2v3 to decide the finalists. While the bottom team is relegated and the 6th and 7th team play-off to avoid relegation.

For division 2, the minor premier advances, and the overall winner advances. However should they be the same team, then the grand finalist is promoted with them.

Homegrounds:

Vic Metro - MCG
Vic Country - Skilled Stadium
South Australia - AAMI
Western Australia - Subiaco
Allies - SCG
International Queenslanders - Gabba
Indigenous All-Stars - Marrara Oval

How the teams were sorted:

Effectively each team has between 40-45 players on their list. In the case of the sides that have one or more team, the best 40-45 players goes in their first team, the next 40-45 players go in the 2nd team and so goes on. I chose the teams, so obviously you may think some players in team 2 are better than team 1, but I can't help that, I've just done my opinion :)

Hope you enjoy :)
