Very rough and dirty, presumably many mistakes.

Since Origin is the topic of the moment around the AFL, I thought id do a list of where players were eligible to play. This assumes eligibility based on where they played under 18s.

I guess this is also a bit of a role call of where the "go home" factor may come into play at some stage. Good to see we have a mix of talent from all over the place.

Unless they play it mid-Round, during a season, you'll never see State of Origin again.

It was fabulous, but it's gone.

Eddie Betts for the WA squad ? Born in Kalgoorlie.
Played very junior football there, also played in Port Lincoln in SA, but played under 18s in the TAC Cup (for Calder Cannons IIRC) and Was drafted from there. Represented Vic Metro in under 16s as well.

No they'll play it late in the pre-season, which has a lot more sense because everyone wants good game time, and why not against quality oppostion. Plus its not an extra game to get injured in, because they would most probably play for there clubs that week anyway.

I think the current origin rules (ie. the ones we last played origin under) were actually based on where you were first registered to play football.
