Luke O'Donnell is a New South Welshman.

At the moment it is feasible that Lockyer may miss out all together and Thurston and Prince might combine in the halves.

Chris Walker hahah, he will be lucky to wear the no. 17 for Brisbane Norths. There is no way he will get a game in front of Slater, King, Geyer, Inglis, Webster, Turner, and even Shortland. Hack.

He's sh*te.
Why? Because of an origin series 5 years ago? He was easily the Broncos best player vs Nth QLD, and has the size and speed to match it with Gasnier and Cooper etc, and can throw a decent pass, which has been severly lacking the last couple of series with Berrigan and Bowman in the Centres, where we have relied far too heavily on Lockyer to orchestrate attacking raids.

Ah I see, you're a Broncos supporter.

He's no good. Easily the most overrated player in the NRL.

Nope, a Cowboys supporter. I too believe he has seriously underperformed for all that his ability has promised, but after being the best player against Nth QLD, hopefully he has turned a corner of soughts.

Was ok last year without being great, (obviously not good enough for Origin selection) but I thought his improvement was enough to warrant a look in for this year (especially considering QLD were SMASHED in the backs last year) and his form to date still warrants that consideration.

Like I said, one of the few QLD centres that will be able to match NSW for size and speed, just I hope he continually performs this season along with Tonga and Inglis so that we have the best and most inform possible pairing come Origin time.

Bowman is a machine defensively, but is seriously lacking in offensive creativity. I predict he will fill a role similar to that of Chris Flannery off the bench for QLD this year, as his size and defensive ability/hardness would allow him to easily play a role in the forwards.

Nah, I think Queensland will be more inclined to choose a Ashley Harrison/Dallas Johnson on the bench as a tackling forward before they choose Bowman. I agree with what you are saying, but it is just way too risky a move.

Not trying to be arrogant or start a slanging match, but Hodges just produced his second best player performance for the Broncos in his only two games this season.

If he keeps it up the Gasnier vs Hodges match up come Origin time could be quite some show. I can comfortably say that probably for almost the first time in over a decade QLD will head into the game with the strongest halves pairing. Lockyer returned to some great form, and Thurston continues to dominate with Prince still producing, with Smith hanging around the edges but his lack of experience most likely counting against him. Although Johns is as good as two players, it could be dangerous to rely solely on him two years in a row, considering his injury woes or recent.
