BTW, there was no way the crowd was 70 000, i refuse to believe there was more than 50 000 there - all of the bottom teir at both ends were empty.

hehe i rang my folks just before 7.30 tonight and dad said "anyway gotta go the footy is on".......I automatically went to the optus channels to see what AFL was on........sorta fogot that origin was on......and it took till I went back to ch9 and saw the 'opening' to realise....

...oh dear......what sort of Queenslander am I???? LOL

Great game..

State of Origin is great..you get to see the cream of the players..unfortunately no Storm guys this year...omitting Scotty Hill was a mistake I think.

I also enjoyed Country vs City..its good to see games (afl/soccer/union, etc.) go to country towns to promote the various codes.

I disagree with you WCE 2000, when the guys came in at 1/2 time you were taken round the ground; the side where the cameras were had the majority of the crowd, only the goal ends were empty....I thought the crowd was about 65,000 or so....which was excellent...

The stadium is still being reconfigured isn't it? Its gotta be ready soon for the Lions Test.
WCE2000 did you manage to get tickets for the Test.
