Not quite draft camp, but state screening gives the lesser knows a chance to strut their stuff in front of AFL clubs and interested observers.

Alex Goodingham and Jake Hall both cracked the 15 in the beep test.

Justin Van Unen had shoe dramas during his beep test, his shoe coming off, led to all sorts of drama, and effectively shot his beep test but he got a fair way through (into the 12s I reckon).

Murray ruckman Andrew Browne ran the worst beep in the 11s.

Amazing how quickly some guys hoisted the white flag, going from cruising to stuffed within such a short time. The pain barrier for some isn't great. Alternatively seeing how determined some guys are to keep pushing despite clearly struggling. Angus Lapin from Melbourne Grammar was clearly struggling in the 10s, but pushed and pushed to get 12.6 which was good. When you see white faces and guys who look pretty close to spewing at the end, it makes you realise what a punishing exercise the beep test is.

Dont know the sprint times, although a few dinosaurs graced the sprint course!! Amongst the fastest were Steven Gaertner and Luke Rounds.

Fair to say the VIS who did the testing underestimated the height a few of the AFL boys could jump. Zachary Clarke and Jayden Post I think both well cleared the top of the measuring equipment so there were plenty of adjustments and extensions of the equipment going on.

Little wonder some guys have injury issues when they get into the AFL, some of the guys are so big for 17 or 18 years of age. Suppose they're smashing the weights from 16 years of age.

This fella is going to surprise a few people in the draft i think, could push the late second round but probably more likely to end up somewhere in the third simply because he is one of the older players in the draft.

True. The problem is, I have so many players ahead of him I think in my phantom it will be +50 for him. I think in a weaker draft, he might've gone a fair bit earlier.

Anyone know what height he recorded at screening?

EDIT - Geez, his beep was impressive!

That is the problem with plenty of players for mine. Just had a quick go at the first three rounds and i always seem to have a quality player or two sliding further than what i would like.

That beep is mighty impressive, with his athleticism, strong hands and versatility, be surprised if he went lower than the third round now TBH but we will see. This is the great thing about the draft, plenty of quality discussion available.

Hooper........................what is tha feedback there please?????? Everyone says he is too small.....but gets plenty of the ball....his own....others....he deserves
a go would'nt ya reckon??????

Cheers for the info mate, you always have and always will kick some major arse in this area!

mark my words Post will not go +50. north r very keen on him and could even use their 2nd wound pick on him. adelaide also are very interested and could surprise with 2nd round pick. his last game (the final) against dandy was exceptional and impressed alot. would have been at draft camp after that performance only for clubs prefernces went in before the tac cup finals.

howd Rayner go? i keep hearing he is a real smokey for this draft and a superb 800m runner

Wouldn't surprise me, actually have him going to the Roos in the 3rd round. Was sitting near both Donald McDonald and two of the Roos recruiters at the first game of the TAC Cup final, they couldn't stop moving when Jayden got near the ball.

I just looked at the record to see how much postie had grown, but it says he has shrunk, from195 to 194cm
