This is my worry with duggan. Already super fit but not getting very much of the ball. It's much easier to get someone fit than it is to improve their game sense and ability to get the pill.
Same as Jetta i imagine doesnt get usedDuggan runs 22 km at can't break 20 touches . WTF is he doing out there
Since moving into defence 4 weeks ago he is averaging 19 possessions a game and you would honestly take that from any kid in defence. He has found his natural role for the time being. Chris Judd described HFF as the hardest position to play and you can see that with so many mids struggling to play that position. He is 20 at the moment and i would give him 1.5 years to 2 more years playing as HB before thinking of introducing him into the middle. This is my worry with duggan. Are you with Telstra?Where on the AFL app is this? I can't seem to find it.
He had a huge first quarter(possibly half) in that game. By memory he had like 12 touches by the end of the first quarter. probably put in the same amount of effort to find the pill without getting rewarded.Duggans two monster games have come as a HBF, one in which Mitchell also ran the same distance, he might be following a number of different forwards and covering for players on a zone change over. He has had some 15km games as a mid/forward but he's never been given a starring role, not like Shuey, Sheed, Priddis, Gaff and to a lesser extent Yeo. He has always been second fodder, but he's stepped up when forced to play down back due to injuries.
Maybe that other game (Melbourne game from memory) where they both ran 22kms they were both putting in for each other at different times.
We more like nelson because he is a tough nut a true campaigner.Just had a look and Jack nelson who we all love is averaging 13 possessions a game and has only gone over 15 possessions 3 times whith a 22 possession and 17 possession game being his best 2. Duggan already is doing more offensively and defensively has been very good. That said i would love both to be regular 20 possession players and those two along with Yeo rebounding from defence would be deadly.
He is seriously quick. People know his quick but his speed gets overlooked for athleticism and hands. He mowed down Polec (one of the fasted players in the comp) and then seriously burned off a kid who was rated as the fast player at Port and he was hemmed in at the boundary line as well. Also Yeo with 34km top speed, ******* flash.
Duggans got both those qualities as well. Yeo, Duggan and Nelson and maybe nelson. Thats a very tough and quick back line.We more like nelson because he is a tough nut a true campaigner.
Didn't NicNat reach around the 36km/h mark once? They mentioned it in the broadcast. Also Yeo with 34km top speed, ******* flash.

If Duggan could kick he could end up a better than average player.
He has shown he can kick. You don't just forget how. Maybe his kicking is suffering because of all the running he is doing? We draw that assumption from Gaff.
That was on the way to the pizza table in the rooms after the gameGovs top speed above Shuey haha
