good work on the stats, it just goes to show how misleading they can be on the overall influence a player has on any given game

Nelson, Cole, Duggan, Mutimer, Rioli...maybe even Mallen and Lamb.

Hopefully these guys will be able to have impact as mid rotations and win some ball rather than having to rely on the usual suspects to dig it out and feed them.

Hurn, Sheppard, Hill, Cripps, Wellers...all non-existent to very limited rotation options. With Priddis and Mitchell in the mids it shouldn't be surprising that we are gassed from halfway through the 3rd quarter most of the time.

I think Duggan can kick as long as he's not at full pace. Has no idea how to drop the ball when he's sprinting. Guaranteed grubber every time. I wouldn't worry about his set shots just yet, I think it got in his head at the start but I doubt he'll always be that bad.

Haha yeah Gov's top speed is reached when he gets a chance to bury someone into the turf like the Melbourne game. Always surprised at the toe he can show when he thinks he can catch someone.

Since moving into defence 4 weeks ago he is averaging 19 possessions a game and you would honestly take that from any kid in defence. He has found his natural role for the time being. Chris Judd described HFF as the hardest position to play and you can see that with so many mids struggling to play that position. He is 20 at the moment and i would give him 1.5 years to 2 more years playing as HB before thinking of introducing him into the middle.

A bit over ago Liam was down on confidence had no clue and only got over 15 possession on 2 occassions. he got his 2nd 20 touch game in 2 years last night and i would back him to get a few more this year and possibly a 20's and maybe a 30 possession game.
I agree with you on this and also add that when he plays time in the middle, he usually goes in hard at the contest but isn't big enough/strong enough yet to get the possession. He still halves the contest though. This will come with time and I really have no issue with Duggan's development. Yes, it stalled a bit early in the year but confident he will be a very good player.

Shocking that a guy who played his junior footy at HB is now playing far better when played in that position.

Genius move from the MC.

In theory we have enough small/mid sized backs for the next generation and don't need to draft anymore for years. Duggan, Cole, Yeo, Sheppard, Nelson, Rotham.

Watch as we continue to draft more..........
Joe Blogs, 187cm, plays of half back, has hopes to develop into a midfielder.*

*never develops into midfielder...

Gaff seems to get above the 18km/h mark a fair bit but very rarely gets into a sprint above 24 km/h.

Yep, you see this multiple times a game. Its when he's applying "pressure" by "chasing" opponent who is sprinting away from him with the ball.
