It is time to farewell the three teams which failed to make the finals for 2001.

Until next year :
Bigfooty Dingoes, try as they might, could not make a proper go of it in the Sweet FA's inaugural year. Apart from wins in the 4th, 7th and 8th rounds, there wasn't enough cohesion to get the Dingoes up and running when it came down to business.

The Dingoes still offered many highlights, the standout amongst them being the majestic 10 goal game from Visro, against the Seventh Wonders in Round 4. We hope to see an improved effort from the second-oldest SFA team in 2002!

Pagan Ducks, the only SFA club to have direct links to an AFL team (Kangaroos), fell short of the finals due to a lapse at the end of the season, losing their last four games. The manpower is definitely there, and perhaps the club was simply too new to the world to get a proper footing first time round.

Team Timmy could be considered a little unlucky. They missed out on the finals by percentage only, though it must be admitted that it was a hell of a lot of percentage. Seeming like a definite finals team at the half-way mark of the home and aways (in second place with a 4/2 standing), the latter half of the season was Timmy's downfall. They'll be out to make amends next year.

But enough of the tripe, its now on to the cream.

Second Semi-Final - Team Kournikoba v Bigfooty Dragons
The winner of this match progresses directly into the Grand Final. The loser has to beat the winner of the First Semi-Final to have another crack at the team that beat them.

One final per early week.

Shall organise the 1st semi for Monday or Tuesday next week.

Sorry I can't do these on weekends, but I go to the local footy every Saturday, and, because I'm out at the footy every Saturday, need to spend QT (that's quality time, not that SA poster) with the missus.
