Missing West Coast in that one as well.

Tonight score of Syd 9.8 to Rich 7.9 was the first time that goals and behinds for both teams were in single digits since Rd 16 2009 (Bris 9.8 to Freo 7.5).

Thought it would have been longer than that, very low number of scoring shots for a game.

Dustin Fletcher:
- 1st player to win his 385th game
- 1st player to win his 389th game
- 1st player to lose his 390th game

Last record left for all players* (post 350 games):
- no player has ever lost his 402nd game

* excluding 404-426 games as only 1 player has played that many

Thanks to stupid AFL scheduling:

40,963 - lowest ever H&A crowd for a Carlton - Collingwood game at the MCG.

Geelong remain the only team to have twice posted a score of 200 or more in a season on two occasions. They did this in 1989 and then in consecutive rounds in 1992. Sydney (1987, in consecutive rounds) and North Melbourne (1990) have also posted two scores of 200 or more in one season.

Two scores of 200 or more have been conceded in a season by St. Kilda (1980 in consecutive rounds), Footscray (1982) and Sydney (1993).

A score of 200 or more has been posted by one team against the same opponent in consecutive seasons by Collingwood versus St. Kilda in 1979 and 1980.

St. Kilda remain the only team to have both posted and conceded a 200+ score in one season (1978).

Richmond's highest score ever is 222 (versus St. Kilda, Rd 16, 1980) whilst their highest score conceded is also 222 (versus Geelong, Rd 6, 2007).

Alastair Clarkson has lost his last 3 games as coach (Rounds 8, 10, 16).

Last time he did that was in 2010 (Rounds 5, 6, 7).

Gold Coast are 0/2 and GWS is 0/1. University never played at Kardinia Park.

Something to cheer up the Saints fans a bit.
Did you know...the year after kicking his "behind of the century" Barry Breen kicked 13 goals for St. Kilda versus the Tasmanian NWFU representative team on July 8, 1967. Final scores were: St. Kilda 35.27 (237) to NWFU 13.7 (85). Game played at Burnie.

Can you do how many games and when they last played?

when did collingwood last play at kardinia park? probably 1988!

I posted this as a status on Facebook but feel it's also appropriate for this thread.

Let's talk about VFL/AFL longevity.

Michael Tuck and Robert Harvey's careers intertwined at some point.

Tucky (1972-1991.)

Banger (1988-2008.)

From the year Tucky debuted (he was 19 on debut and retired at 38) to Banger's retirement (Banger debuted at 17 and retired at 37) 36 years had passed.

John Nicholls debuted in 1957 and retired in 1974.
Simon Madden debuted in 1974 and retired in 1992.
Dustin Fletcher debuted in 1993 and is still going.

Sam Newman debuted in 1964 and retired in 1980.
Doug Hawkins debuted in 1978 and retired in 1995.
Brent Harvey debuted in 1996 and is still going.

Jason Dunstall played 1 season with both Leigh Matthews and Peter Knights in 1985 (Lethal and Knighta debuted in 1969 and retired in 1985.)

The Chief debuted in 1985 and retired in 1998, Trent Croad and Nathan Thompson's first year.

Appropriately, Croad and Thommo's last game came in 2008.

It took 29 years for Knighta and Lethal to be linked with Croad and Thommo courtesy of Chief.

Don't quote me on Knighta's year of birth (I think it was 1950 and Lethal, 1952) but, with all that in mind, Peter Knights is approximately 30 years older than Trent Croad.
