it's hard to judge current day players against older players because as far as i know there was no such thing as a "list" back in the old VFL days but Brett Deledio must be on some record pace having only missed four games since being drafted? I don't know of any players that would get close to that.

Crouch's run ended at this point. All other players on the list had played at least three finals. Deledio's still relatively young by virtue of being one of the few 17yo debutants in the modern era.

Deledio's also creeping up the most consecutive games list. Has played through a few injuries in the last two years.

* These sequences include club games missed while on state duty. They are not, strictly speaking, unbroken sequences of VFL club matches, however the AFL has chosen to keep them on the official list while excluding those state matches from club games tallies. A slightly confusing situation.

** This is listed in the AFL Record Season Guide, however I have the figure as 136.

I think your stats look wrong Ron. Take Adam Goodes for example.

Debut: Round 1, 1999

Missed: Rounds 19, 20, 21 - 1999; Rounds 14, 18, 22 - 2008; Rounds 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 - 2012; etc

???

Those numbers are only up to career game #194, e.g. for Goodes, that's 2007 R8. He'd only missed the three games to that point.

I'll add another column with the total games missed over the player's career.

Last week Daniel Giansiracusa played his 250th game, and this week Paul Chapman will achieve that particular milestone. What are the most consecutive rounds in which players have celebrated 250 games? And whilst on the subject, what are the most consecutive rounds for celebrating 200 games, 150 and 100? Not sure whether there's ever been consecutive 300 gamers, but hopefully we'll soon find out.

50 (22) 1994 PF-1995 R20, and 2004 R1-22 (not going to list all the players)

300 (3) 1983 R19-21 Doull, Quinlan, Round
Footscray/Western Bulldogs must hold the record of 300 gamers who started their careers with them.

Quinlan and Round reaching their 300th at different clubs after beginning at the Bulldogs.

Scott West and Rohan Smith played their 300th in the same game in 2006 (Smith's last game)

Are their any other players who have played their 300th in the same game.

Are their any other players who have played their 300th in the same game.

Predictably, no.

250 - Eade (Br)/Raines (Br), Fletcher (Es)/McLeod (Ad), Gehrig (St)/Lappin (Ca), Dal Santo (St)/Riewoldt (St)

200 - Olliver (WB)/Ware (WB), DiPierdomenico (Ha)/Kennedy (Ha), Neagle (Sy)/Wright (Sy), Bradley (Ca)/Williams (Ca), McIvor (Br)/Scott (NM), Kelly (Sy)/Jakovich (WC), West (WB)/Smith (WB), Buckley (Co)/McKernan (NM), King (NM)/Rocca (NM), Edwards (Ad)/O'Loughlin (Sy), Burns (Co)/Wakelin (Co), Hall (Sy)/Michael (Br), Guerra (Ha)/Dal Santo (St), Burgoyne (Ha)/Mitchell (Ha), Cassisi (PA)/Hodge (Ha), Montagna (St)/Wells (NM), Koschitzke (St)/Schneider (St)

150 - Bradley (Ca)/Kernahan (Ca)/Williams (Ca), Carey (NM)/Kelly (Sy)/Rock (NM), Jones (Me)/Selwood (Ge)/Sylvia (Me)

100 - Don (Ri)/Harley (Ri)/Wigraft (Fi), Drummond (Sy)/Maher (Es)/Scanlan (Sy), Padley (Fi)/Searl(Fi)/Wall (Fi), Grant (WB)/Lovell (Me)/Tingay (Me), Clarke (St)/Koschitzke (St)/Lake (WB)

50 - Hammond (Ca)/Johnson (Ca)/Legge (Es)/McGregor (Ca)

Note that Smith & West also played their 200th together.

Keep in mind that, before the nineties, record-keeping was haphazard and I think was left up to the clubs. Some clubs included state games in the club games tallies, some tallies were miscounted etc, so the day that a player might've celebrated a milestone may not be the same day indicated by the record books now, e.g. Keith Greig certainly celebrated his 300th in his final game v Footscray in 1985, but his official count is now 294.

Cheers Ron.

Surprised to see Gadget at No. 1 and Tuck at No. 9.

With Carlton 10 points in front with a few minutes to go against the Tigers, when was the last time that the teams lower on the ladder won both elimination finals?

Carlton make it to a semi-final, with a H&A record of 11-11.

What is the worst H&A record a team has had and made:
- an Elimination Final,
- a Qualifying Final,
- a Semi Final,
- a Preliminary Final,
- the Grand Final?

If any of the answers are from a season with <22 games, please include the worst from a 22-round season. And for 1993-99, treat 1st-4th in Week 1 as playing a QF and 5th-8th as playing an EF.

Found this. 1993 - [2] Carlton d. [1] Essendon, [5] Adelaide d. [4] Hawthorn, [6] West Coast d [3] North Melbourne

The year Geelong finished 7th about a game and a half from top spot. :(

Adelaide with their amazing 16-10 record in 1998 to win a flag, probably the only Premier who'll ever take home the silverware despite suffering 10 losses in a season.

Collingwood made 3rd with 13-9 in 1984, contrasting with Essendon's 16-6 4th placings in 1981 and 1982.

Mick Malthouse's record as coach against every team?

I'm moreso interested in his record against the team he is coaching against this Saturday night.

individual ground and opposition coach is a far better guide to use then simply opposition team. exceptional record at ANZ 7-2 and interstate in general (over 50% Win Rate), 1-1 vs Longmire.
His record vs Swans would date back to the 80s
