Stats questions

My question goes to the percentage of games won by teams with fewer scoring shots. By my count the Eagles have now lost six games in the last two and a bit seasons with more scoring shots than their opponents, however on the flipside have only won two games in the same circumstance (which is, obviously, rather frustrating).

My thought is that it must be that it only seems that the Eagles are doing worse than others because being human you notice it when you lose that way but don't necessarily really notice it when you win in that manner (much like the way you notice the number of red lights you stop at while driving, but not really the number of greens you go straight through)

Secondly, I did a search having remembered a list from a few seasons back that gave the percentage of games won by a team with fewer scoring shots by scoring shot differential, but couldn't find it. If any one had that, or a similar list, I would be very interested to see it.
But you need to also include genuine scoring attempts that didn't score, for the stat to be true.

In the port game two weeks ago, we actually missed a lot of attempts completely.

Has any team ever won two 1vs2 clashes in a row in the home&away season? If so, how about three?

(I'm hoping that this stat won't change tonight.)

Played three in a row (WWL) - North Melbourne 1993 R10/12/13 v Co/WC/Ha

Played two in a row (WW) - Collingwood 1901 R5-6, Essendon 1912 R3-4, Collingwood 1927 R11-12, South Melbourne 1932 R7-8, Carlton 1979 R14-15, West Coast 1991 R21-22

Played two in a row (WL) - Carlton 1916 R4-5, South Melbourne 1917 R3-4, Collingwood 1926 R15-16, Geelong 1951 R13-14, St.Kilda 1968 R8-9, Brisbane 2002 R7-8, Collingwood 2010 R8-9, Geelong 2014 R5-6

Played two in a row (DW) - Brisbane 2003 R3-4

Curiously, of 16 occurrences, no team has ever gone LW or LL (excluding the latter two games in North's hat-trick).

(Curiously, Paul has decided to tackle this at the same time as me)

Easy peasy, all you need to do is find a complete source. There was at least one website I can recall at the start of the century which produced such data, but the ephemeral nature of the web almost means "hard copy or disappear"

Not a place where the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) can help out? I always find that's good for sources that no longer exist in their original state on the web.

2009 R16 - Geelong v Melbourne
