Are the Dogs the first team to make the GF after finishing H/A outside the top four (since this system started in 2000)?

Craig Bradley played 98 SANFL games for Port Adelaide (1981-85).

I'd like to know how many H&A and finals matches he played each year.

SEASON | H&A | FINALS | TOTAL
\ 1981 |||(max 22+3)
\ 1982 |||(max 22+2)
\ 1983 |||(max 22+0)
\ 1984 |||(max 22+2)
\ 1985 |||(max 22+0)

i've asked before I think can't recall the answer but what is with the difference between footywire and afltables in regards to their games played by each player.
footywire suggests 0 players under 50 games played in 2008 GF http://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/2008/091020080927.html
afltables correctly with 7 players http://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/2008/091020080927.html
Don't footywire just keep the current tally?

That means it shows their full career even though it was not the situation at the time of the game.

I believe you will find that Bradley's 98 matches include appearances in the SANFL night competition.

According to the AFL Coaches Association website, the Coach of the Year Award began in 2003. Wasn't there a Coach of the Year award prior to this? I'm sure I can remember Terry Wheeler being the recipient for Footscray in 1992. I reckon Kevin Sheedy was the winner in 1993, Neil Balme in 1994 and David Parkin in 1995. Sheedy won it again in 2000. I can't recall all the winners, but does anyone know anything about such an award?

So the Dogs will not have a single player tomorrow who has played in a GF, when was the last time a team went into a GF with zero players with GF experience?

Western Bulldogs have ended up being premiers (YESSSSSSSS!!) with just seven century scores this season. How does this compare with other premiers during the 22 rounds in a season era? (Including 1993)

Ranked 47th of the 47 premiers since 1970. 2005 Sydney had 9, and 1972 Carlton, 1994 West Coast and 1997 Adelaide, 11. 1979 Carlton had 22.

The only two days that year we did not get a century were wet muddy days and one of them as we know from footage of Wayne Harmes and Ken Sheldon , was grand final day.

How many Premiership sides have had a current consecutive loss sequence of 10 or more to a rival club at the time of holding the cup aloft?

Geelong have won the last 10 against the Doggies... a small bit of satisfaction against this side which has done brilliantly well to claim a Flag that is so well deserved. I'd venture to say it would also be the Dog's first 19-win season too?

No other premier has had a current losing sequence of more than 6 against any club (Richmond 1967 v Collingwood). Fitzroy 1944 had gone 6 games without a win against Essendon, but that included a draw. Bulldogs 1954 v Collingwood the next highest with 5.

17 wins was the Dogs' previous best, in 1985 and 1992.

Off the top of my head, Geelong 233 Melbourne 47 (280.) 2011.
Essendon 150, Carlton 134 (284.) 2008.
Footscray 151, Brisbane 123 (274.) 2005.
Geelong 222, Richmond 65 (287.) 2007.
West Coast 144, Footscray 137 (281.) 2004.
Adelaide 176, Carlton 104 (280.) 2009.
Some more high scoring (270+) games rcently:
289: Fremantle 167-122 Kangaroos, 2003
270: Richmond 137-133 Hawthorn, 2005
273: Essendon 155-118 Brisbane, 2008
271: Bulldogs 153-118 Richmond, 2011
No more since then unfortunately, but a handful of 260-pointers this year...

The Bulldogs premiership team contained 5 players whose fathers had played AFL - Tom Liberatore, Zaine Cordy, Lachie Hunter, Liam Picken and Josh Dunkley. It also had Mitch Wallis miss through injury.

Is this the record for sons of AFL players to play in the same premiership team?

The most I could find previously was 4 for Geelong in 2009 - Ablett, Scarlett, Blake and Hawkins.

I don't know the answer to the question for sure, though I'd say it's extremely likely that the Western Bulldogs now hold the record. Tory Dickson's father (Glenn Dickson Richmond 1977-78) also played AFL, according to this year's AFL Record Season Guide. So that makes it 6 Bulldogs in their Premiership-winning team.

Sydney had 5 in 2012, with Dan Hannebery, Josh Kennedy, Sam Reid, Rhyce Shaw and Nick Smith.

Josh Kennedy collected the most possessions in Saturday's grand final (34). How many other grand finals do we know of where the player with the most possessions did not play on the winning team?
