Sydney, North Melbourne and Hawthorn have all started the season 0-3. All were finalists in 2016.

They broke their own record..think they had a game in 1979 against St.Kilda at Moorabbin where they went from 5.8.38 to 20.8.128 from memory. BUt i can't help but think Carlton might have the record now.
 
There is a very good chance that Richmond soon breaks their current streak of 482 Games since r13 1995 of being top of the ladder. They could do it this weekend with a big win over Brisbane. This is one of the longest ever droughts from being top of the ladder at any point in the season.

Since r13 1995 what is the breakdown by team of rounds spent on top of the ladder?

What's the highest home and away crowd for a game not involving Essendon or Collingwood? At least one of them plays in each of the top 20 crowds, can't find longer records than that.

This depends on whether you count rushed behinds against the teams or not. If you don't think they interrupt the streak, the following matches at a minimum beat it:

West Coast v GWS R8 2014: 18 (3 rushed)
Geelong v Melbourne R9 2011: 19 (2 rushed)

If you want to count rushed behinds against the team, I believe Geelong's 16 may be the record, although unfortunately this data is very spotty and is only consistently available for about the last decade.

KT had some earlier streaks. St Kilda holds the record at 16 goals, now jointly with Geelong. The Saints went from 2.5 (17) to 25.6 (156) against Richmond in Round 18, 2006 using streaks of seven then 16 goals.
 
Perth finished 8th and last on the 1981 WAFL premiership table, with a record of just three wins from their 21 games. They conceded an average of 157 points each game, but still managed to average 102 points per game. Has any other team in VFL/AFL/SANFL/WAFL history finished with the wooden spoon and yet managed to average over 100 points a game?

Malcolm Blight's 1985 Woodville team finished 10th and last (sixth wooden spoon in a row) in the SANFL after scoring 2752 points for (ave. 125.1 pts) but only winning 6 games out of 22.

They would go on to make the preliminary final the following year.

That is insane! Woodville's lowest score that year was 13.18 (96) and Blight also picked up the Ken Farmer Medal with 126 goals. Percentage was 46.35 (86.4% on the everywhere-but-SA scale)

They were the second highest scorers in the league that year. The problem was, they conceded 3185 points

Fitzroy 1980 averaged 109 points per game. During the season they beat the eventual premiers and in the last game, trailing by 51 points at 3/4 time against another finalist in Carlton, they rallied to lose by just 4 points. St.Kilda scrambled a draw at Arden St to put Fitzroy on the bottom. A time when the wooden spoon carried no reward and was something to be avoided at all costs...

Next highest was Richmond with 99.95 (2199 points from 22 games) in 1987.
 
Today Hawthorn lost to Geelong by 86 points, having been beaten by the same 86-point margin by the Gold Coast Suns the previous week.

How many instances are there of sides losing (or winning) by the same margin of 60 points or more in successive weeks? I remember the Brisbane Bears getting thrashed by 101 points in Round 19 & 20 in 1991 by Geelong and Collingwood respectively, but can't remember any other cases off the top of my head.
