This shows Most Games Before (first) Final (but not gaps between finals games): https://afltables.com/afl/stats/alltime/misc_players.html#19

I did check this on afl tables but couldn't find a list of gaps between finals games.

I would be surprised if Nathan Jones doesn't hold the record for longest gap between finals games. Which makes it interesting that the record for Most Games Before First Finals and Most Games Between Finals are both held by Melbourne players. They seem to make a habit of long finals droughts.

Has anyone ever played 100 senior games in a 4-season window? If not, what’s the most in any 4-season period?
Wayne Schimmelbusch played 102 games for North Melbourne - 1974-77 (and 100 games from 1975-78):

I'm not sure how many other players have done this (or what the record tally over 4 seasons is).

Edit: Bill Picken played 100 games with Collingwood - 1978-81:

Dane Swan 100 games for Collingwood - 2007-10:

Michael Tuck's best was 99 over 4 seasons, while Shaun Burgoyne has played 98 games.

Thought this had come up before, maybe it hasn't. Doesn't answer your question but I found this from 2016:

Most x game seasons:
27
- (1) John Cassin (NM, 1977)
26 - (3) Schimmelbusch
25 - (5) Tuck, Ashcroft, Burgoyne
24 - (8) Burgoyne
23 - (10) Tuck
22 - (13) Bartlett, Tuck, B Harvey

Burgoyne rounds out to 168 over 7 seasons from 2011-2017.....Not too far away at all & not too shabby for a bloke with a bung knee when we recruited him.

My best mate is a Hawthorn supporter and he was disgusted when you recruited Burgoyne (because of the "fitness doubt"). Now he's disgusted that you've recruited Wingard (he just doesn't like him!). I happily remind him that it worked out okay with Burgoyne, despite his doubts!!

I can understand his reserve, as Wingard is a different kind of Cat....Though so too was Brian Lake & yet, he turned out to be exactly what we needed.

Remember his choker-hold on Petrie of North?....Hodge & Lewis hung him out to the cleaners on that one & he was very close to be kicked off the team entirely from thereon in.....Ah-hem.....3 Premierships & one Norm Smith later.

Very surprised to see Kevin Bartlett on this list, considering his reputation for liking a goal.

It leads to two questions:

Who holds the record for kicking at least one goal in the most number of matches? Is it Bartlett?

Who holds the record for kicking at least one goal in the highest percentage of matches they played (minimum of 50 games)? is it Hudson?

I'm not sure if this is what you are asking for, but it shows players with the most consecutive games where they scored at least one goal: https://afltables.com/afl/stats/alltime/misc_goals.html#10

Leigh Matthews kicked a goal in 301 games. Not bad given he wasn't a pure forward for a lot of his career.

So 31 games he was held goal-less.....That's quite an impressive stat, going at 90%

I dare say that John Rantall & Curly Austin were the likely main culprits.....A lot of them would also possibly be early on in his career, you'd reckon.
