If the AFL weren't incompetent, there'd be somewhere on their site where we could look this up easily. eg. I want to know which Essendon players are currently suspended and how many carryover points there are. But the AFL doesn't really invest any energy into statistics.
26 times, first in 1996 R21, the other 25 between 2002 R10 and 2007 R6.
Amazing given Geelong's forward woes of the post Wade era in the 70's...that this game at the Lake Oval saw the Geelong and Sth Melb scores be achieved in this opening round 1 encounter. Two years later a similar high-scoring affair ensured, Geelong winning 24.11.167 to South's 24.11.155. Until Sydney's 103 point win over Geelong in 1998 with a score of 24.18.160, were those scores the Swan's highest efforts against Geelong? Pretty unique if they were, and they were both losing totals!

With GWS kicking a score of 37 and their percentage being 37, when was the last time a team had a score correlate with their percentage?
Both Round 1 winners but not in "finals placings" on the ladder at the end of the round. Also, the smallest winning margin of the round!
The round that's just finished really was outstanding in so many ways. It looks like it might have fallen only a few hundred short of the all-time best attendance figure for a round, unfortunately - I'll be interested to see what the official figures reveal.

Its happened 23 times including 5 times in round 2.
You have to have conceded exactly 100 points.
The Giants have the only occurrence of exactly 37%.
