That's genius Ronnie.

You are a legend.

You are a man of all seasons.

THANK YOU!

Thanks RTB.....Should send that to AFL H.Q and see if Geelong can get an honourary flag for that ladder..;)

Would have looked so different in 1979 that's for sure, as about 85% of Geelong's 100 point wins have come since then.

And the majority of those from Geelong would've come against Richmond.

A question of my own.

Of all the one-game players in VFL/AFL history, did any of them play in a draw?
This is taken from AFL Tables - All players ranked by win/loss records file and shows those with 1 game - 1 draw (50.00%), and should be all there is (assuming I've looked at it correctly!):-

5287. Ray Davies (Fitzroy 1954)
5288. Ted Wellington (North Melb. 1943)
5289. George Kanngieser (Collingwood 1935)
5290. Eric Crompton (Footscray 1935)
5291. Colin Dufty (Collingwood 1914)
5292. Arthur Harrison (Carlton 1914)
5293. Tom Hanson (Carlton 1911)
5294. Sid O'Neill (Fitzroy 1909)
5295. Ron Larking (University 1909)
5296. Ted Flynn (Essendon 1903)
5297. Daniel Archer (St. Kilda 2011)
5298. Byron Sumner (Sydney 2011)
5299. Garry Cameron (North Melb. 1967)

There have been 2 games (indicated in bold) where players on opposing sides played in a draw in their one and only game. Archer of St. Kilda is still on the Saints list of course.

Excellent stuff, thanks for that.

Nick Riewoldt plays pretty clean, it seems. Over his career, he has only conceded 110 frees against in 234 games (313 frees for). What other players, and especially big players, can boast those kinds of numbers, specifically frees against per game and frees for-against ratio?

Also, earlier this year he went for 9 consecutive games without conceding a free kick. What are the record streaks for games without conceding a free?

What are some of the longest streaks where one team has scored 100 points or more against a particular opponent?

I'm trying to work out how often this season (or any season) a team has won EVERY quarter in a game. Not how many quarters a team has won, but how often in a particular season a team has won ALL individual quarters in a game. Anybody got any ideas?

This year (29):
4 Hawthorn (Round 3, 10, 15, 16)
4 St.Kilda (2, 7, 11, 15)
4 West Coast 1, 2, 6, 14)
3 Adelaide (1, 15, 16)
3 Brisbane (4, 8, 14)
3 Essendon (6, 9, 14)
3 Sydney (8, 14, 16)
1 Collingwood (10)
1 Geelong (6)
1 North Melbourne (2)
1 Port Adelaide (10)
1 Richmond (9)

Most:
10 Brisbane 2002
9 Geelong 2010
8 West Coast 1991, Essendon 2000, Essendon 2001
7 Essendon 1965, Richmond 1980, Hawthorn 1987, Hawthorn 1988, Geelong 1989, Hawthorn 1989, Carlton 1995, Carlton 2000, Port Adelaide 2001, Port Adelaide 2004, Sydney 2006, Geelong 2007, Geelong 2008, Collingwood 2010, Collingwood 2011

Most in a season:
42 2000
41 2006
39 2004
38 1996, 1997, 2011
37 1995, 2001
36 2002, 2008
34 1994
33 1992, 1992, 2005
32 2010
31 1986, 2009
30 1988, 2007

A number of us of maintain databases... or, in my case, a enormous tangle of files crudely corralled by masses of spaghetti code :p

Well that's cool. I don't mind doing the research, but some of these more elaborate stats are hard to get. As long as you guys don't mind, I might come through here with more questions more often. Not sure why I haven't visited this section earlier. You stats gurus rock. :thumbsu:
