In 2004 Geelong lost by 61 points in Round 1 and lost by 54 points in Round 2 and ended up nine points from a grand final.

Which players have earned a rising star nomination immediately after they lose by over 80 points?
Adelaide were 2-4 in 1997 and won the flag.
They did finish 5th though and under the new system may not have made it past week 2.
Is anybody able to post a table showing which players played in the most games in which their team/s kicked 100 or more?
16 points is the biggest winning margin for a team which scored less goals: 1985 Rd. 13 - Melbourne 12.9 (81) vs. Hawthorn 11.31 (97)Hi Stats people.
Suns beat Freo today, but kicked less goals - Suns scoring 1 less goal but winning by 3 points.
I know it would have happened a fair bit, but I was wondering what is the largest winning margin but scoring less goals?
Related to this, how many goals less than the opposition has a team scored and still won. I seem to remember a game in the 90's where the Swans scored 2 less goals, but kicked enough points to still win by a few points. That might be wrong, it is a very vague memory.
BTW, I'm thinking AFL era on this.
Thanks to anybody who can help.

1990>: 12 points is the biggest winning margin for a team which scored less goals:
1996 Rd. 9 - Essendon 11.23 (89) vs. Melbourne 12.5 (77)
2008 Rd. 6 - Hawthorn 14.22 (106) vs. Richmond 15.4 (94)
2012 Rd. 12 - GWS 12.2 (74) vs. Richmond 11.20 (86)
2018 Rd. 16 - Sydney 9.5 (59) vs. Geelong 8.23 (71)
This was my answer to a similar question (to the second part) a fair few months back:

This shows every case of a team scoring 2 (and 3) goals less than the opposition and still winning (you can spot the AFL-era ones among the rest):

Yes, only once (in 1944) has a team won while kicking 3 goals less than the opposition.Awesome, thanks for that.
So no team since 1990 has managed to win while kicking 3 goals less than the opposition, 2 is the best - which is what I expected.
The full image attached probably has it, but is it possible to get a list of Fremantle games only where Freo have scored more goals and lost (as they did vs Suns yesterday) AND won when scoring less goals (i.e. the inverse).
No drama if you don't, appreciate this already.
I asked a question relating to this two years ago when Liam Picken was still playing. Now that he has retired, his career total of 198 games comprises 99 wins and 99 losses. Where does he stand in a top ten list of players who retired with the same number of wins and losses?

This is wins with fewer goals for Fremantle (X8):

Losses with more goals (X3):
2011 Rd. 18 - Fremantle 9.10 (64) vs. West Coast 8.17 (65)
2017 Rd. 14 - Geelong 10.14 (74) vs. Fremantle 11.6 (72)
2019 Rd 2 - Gold Coast 7.19 (61) vs. Fremantle 8.10 (58)

Great stuff!! Thanks for that.Fantastic, thanks Mr. Daicos*
* Interesting story, met a family couple weeks ago playing around the park. Mum vaguely follows Eagles, Dad is a keen Pies fan, called his first born Daicos, not Peter, but Daicos - apprently it was condition of marriage that father would get to choose the name of his first child.
So this is on topic, I count that as the only person in Perth area who named their son after the great Magpie fwd.
If I understand the question correctly, you should be able to find the answer here: https://afltables.com/afl/stats/biglists/bg11.txtI asked a question relating to this two years ago when Liam Picken was still playing. Rodney Eade's, John Northey's and Brett Ratten's coaching records were close to 50%.What's more interesting, is that there are no draws in that lot.
