What I find interesting (even though it is only the first couple of weeks - and things could obviously change) is that it seems to show that all the backs look to give the ball to Smith or Laird, who then distribute it further up field, while Lynch plays the role of link-man into the forward line. And thus they are sitting top 3 for meters gained. Then comes all the midfielders, then the other forwards, followed by the big backmen and finally Sauce.The Metres gained stat shows how many improved this week
Will look forward to seeing if these trends continue.
Am also kinda interested in putting together some kind of metric to determine who's performing best in a given role. For example, ranking backmen on their overall stats in categories such as intercepts, intercept marks, pressure acts, tackles etc... Though strangely enough, most of the backmen are in the bottom half for pressure acts, which isn't what you'd expect... Anyhow, I'll have a think about it all.
