read into them what you like, but

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,8033,6211595%5E19775,00.html

interesting to see that over half hargraves posessions were clangers!

also interesting that half of robbos disposals were coming out of the defensive 50, most were kicks. hes becoming quite essential to our run out of defence.

Johno, Westy and Darce got most of our clearances, with support from Murph, Dimma and Garlo.

Only one clanger from guido.

Alvey and Smith were our usual 2 good inside F50 guys as expected, but Dimma topped them with 8! Could be a sign that he was running ahead of play just a little too much, Id keep my eye on that.

The F50 stat means the amount of times you but the ball inside the F50 not how many times you get the pill in the F50...

8 is a great return for a guy who didn't start the match. Doesn't mean running ahead too much, it means he was always backing up the play. Dimma worked his backside off on Sunday, and that stats of 8 inside 50, 1.1 & 5 tackles is testiment to that.

I know what an inside 50 is :) Watching the game, Dimma received a lot of ball in the clear around the half forward area running ahead of the contest, which is great when it comes off, but can bite you if the ball is turned over inside 50, then where is dimmas opponent?

Its this balance that Rhodes is trying to address ... you cant have too many escaping the contest for the receive, or it interferes with your ability to get the ball in the first place, and you get pumped on the turnovers.

But maybe it was just that dimma had fresh legs compared to most of the other onballers? Just saying itssomething to keep an eye on.

Dimma has always been a hard runner and coming on at a later stage when a bit of the sting has come out of the game you would tend to notice a guy like him a bit. I think he just ran hard to find the space and present an option. he ran them ragged.

He was on Sanderson a fair bit and he didn't do much. So that was a clear win for us.

Sorry Stef, wasn't having a go :)

Back in the late 90's this was the style of play to allowed us to roll over teams. I think it's a great thing and if works with a ratio of 5 - 1 (which i think if a fair assesment of how it went on Sunday) then you're going to win games (as we did) However if it doesn't, and that ratio starts to become a losing one you have to be prepared to abort that game plan and play some tough man on man football. (This is as a whole, not just Dimma)
