Coming over in Jan - staying in Carlton. Will mostly be at Aus open but was wondering if any of the players hang around Carlton area at all or where I can go to watch training in Jan.

Keep an eye on the club's website for training dates, but you will definitely catch up with a couple of sessions during that time.

Normally when I head to Melbourne I just wander up to Visy Park & there is generally always some players hanging around.

Recall Ratts deciding to extend their break by a week (as they are 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule in testing) but no doubt you'll get a couple of opportunities while you're here. You're right not to rely on the part-timer at www.carltonfc.com.au for your information about the clubs activities.

worth a trip up to Princes Park to see all the new facilities, shop etc and buy a coffee from certain recognizable faces

I saw Judd, Murphy and Gibbs walking down Lygon Street together a few months ago. So, you can either hang around drinking coffee in the off chance that they appear, or go five minutes down the road to Visy Park.
