You are 100% correct.
This entire season we’ve been too short in the F50, and it kills us.
And yes, their flooding was insane.

Take the small wins I guess - Boxshall, Hall and Tauru. Garcia did some good things.

And Wilkie. Just want can you say?

Happy for a 200th win forJack.
Yep. I think one thing people are finding hard is that we were really competitive against good teams for 5 weeks in a row, but are now only just getting over the line against fellow lower-ranked teams, and I think there are a few key reasons for that.

1- Mentally you go into the games against the good teams knowing you have to give everything you’ve got, for 4 straight quarters, to have a chance, so you do- which uses up a lot of physical and mental energy- whereas if you know you’re coming up against weaker opposition- especially in “dead rubbers”, you probably don’t go in as wound up.

Because you know you can get the W without having to spend every ticket you have. And you don’t want to “waste” lots of tickets getting wins over weak teams in dead rubbers. So you just do what needs to be done and no more.

The older guys in particular who know they only have so many tickets left aren’t going to want to spend any more than they have to in games like this. A bit like how they don’t go all-in in preseason games.

They’re probably also mentally and physically stuffed.

2- Just like how we were playing a particular gameplan to keep us in the game against good teams, and make it really hard for them to score, weaker teams than us might likewise play a negative game style to make it really hard for us to score. As Richmond did today.

And that gives us a challenge that the better teams don’t present, as they play with more attacking gameplans. The young kids in particular could struggle to adjust, and will learn from it.

From what Sincs said, it sounds like we didn’t play the way we wanted to until the last quarter, to combat the way Richmond flood hard back.

But we had NAZ and we won the three in a row.
Are people really unhappy about winning three in a row?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Winning is always nice but we've played about 3 good quarters in the last 3 games. Barely scraping over the line against bottom 4 teams doesn't feel great.

Winning three in a row, and people crying

LMAO.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Maybe a few want to see us playing good footy and aren't seduced by limping home against shit opposition while we look ordinary.

Yes we played a good final quarter against the Dees, but were shit for 3 quarters before that.

Most neutrals would agree we were very ordinary today. It's ok for supporters to not be happy about that.

Soft or not it feels like he gets done on one a week at the minute.

He goes too hard at the body and needs to raise he hands for a mark and fly into his opponents line.
I agree with this Stav but he’ll learn.
I’m actually rather bullish on his ability and potential to make it down back.
No other reason than the eye test and the vibe.
Hopefully they persist with him like they have and aren’t tempted to swing him forward to cover injuries (would prefer Tauru for a spell)

More love for the box.

Stab that was seriously up there with the worst free kick I’ve seen all year and that is saying something. He tapped Lynch’s hip side on. And lynch went flying.

Walking back from the G along Birrung Mar to the city you'd have not been able to tell which team won or lost. It's a lot of money people put in and the product is dire. Hardly any flair. Umpires not understanding the players so they pay soft crap. Higgo takes a mark and gets his head taken off and no 50 but a toe nail over an imaginary line is.

Glad that Ross mentioned the coaching. It feels like we are missing a coach that can get the forwards to be better structured even with a lack of height. There is zero movement. Hope the Pres puts a torch on the coaches and asks some hard questions. It was tortuous watching the ball movement but then the forwards were offering them nothing to kick to.

A great day at the G and that was the spectacle they were able to put on. Not worth the money.

Sure, but he’s learning on the job, against seasoned guns of the game, who are usually stronger, and of late, taller.

He’s like an apprentice tradesman, who’s being given the most important jobs! (Last week Larkey, this week Lynch, etc).

He hasn’t even done a preseason down back.

Its a game you bank and forget

Love Tauru.

Viking helmets not so much.

Obstructed views all around particularly for kiddies. What can be an alternative?
